The Scotsman!
ericstevenson16 April 2017
Warning: Spoilers
This show was known for having few recurring characters, but one of the exceptions was this eccentric Scotsman warrior with a machine gun for a leg. We actually get to see him confront Aku and we all know he gets blown to pieces instantly. Still, he does come back as a ghost encouraging his allies to help Jack and defeat Aku. Ashi gets more character development as Jack literally shows her that Aku is a liar. We see this one great tree in a once beautiful forest. It's great to see him gain an ally, dare I say a sidekick.

The scenes where Ashi is being tortured are so intense. I mean, it doesn't show any graphic depiction of blood but you totally feel how compelling the scenes are where she's getting electrocuted. I was so happy when she broke from her restraints. This episode features her and Jack stumbling across a place where children of some species have been brainwashed into becoming soldiers. Jack thinks they're dead at the end, but Ashi luckily finds that they're still alive. It's interesting to see Jack flat out admit that he has idea how to beat Aku. ***1/2

Allies Growing Strong

Warning: Spoilers
Glad to see that the Scotsman is back. Despite his age, he is a great warrior. I'm surprised he and his wife have a lot of Daughters. It was sad that Aku has killed him, but thanks to the magic sword, the Scotsman lives as a ghost. Jack is going to be so shocked to find that Aku killed the Scotsman and this is going to make him upset that he would go regain more strength to destroy Aku. Jack shows Ashi about Aku being evil and now she is convinced that she would now become Jacks's friend and ally. The mysterious Samurai who has been following Jack now speaks and Jack goes with him. He thought the children who were brainwashed have died, but Ashi discovers that they are alive. Now, she has go find Jack knowing his life is in danger. As for Aku, he doesn't seem to be happy because of Jack not dying nor aging. The jokes on him for using his time spell on him and destroying the time portals. But there could be another time portal for Jack to find in order to go back to the past.
