What more do you want. This is a piece of fine art with an amazing important message. Janet and Michael are legends. This is another iconic video by the King of Pop. From the dancing to the visuals to the dancing, this is on anther level of great. May he rest in piece. RIP Michael Jackson.

Ahead of it's time

Hard to believe it came out in 1995, very modern and daring. A classic that had stood the test of time and still inspiring creatives the world over. The message of the song is still relevant as well.

Warning: Spoilers
There is not a great deal to explain about what "Michael Jackson Feat. Janet Jackson: Scream" is about as the title summarizes it very well. In this music video from over 20 years ago, we have Michael Jackson (in his 30s) and his younger sister Janet (in her late 20s) sing and dance aboard something like a space ship or space station. The running time is under five minutes, so one of MJ's shorter works for sure. Looking at the awards recognition, this is perhaps the most successful video work by writer and director Mark Romanek, a highly prolific music video director back then. And while I quite love his full feature film works, especially NLMG, I am not really sold on his music video stuff, at least not judging from this one here. It's impressive how much the duo in here looks alike, almost like twins. The black-and-white idea was solid and it is a good work visually I would say, but also not good enough to justify all this awards attention. The song felt extremely forgettable to me and the story (or lack thereof) wasn't helping matters either. As a whole, this was mostly forgettable. I give it a thumbs-down.
