Sadly, the Big Bang Theory was dragged on at least 2 seasons too long, possibly even 3. But one thing that really annoyed me about this episode was when Raj started a feud with Dr. Neil DeGrrasse Tyson and it was completely ignored that the two had met years earlier and spent much time together, when Raj gave Dr. Tyson a tour of the university. (season 4,episode 7- the apology insufficiency)
extremely doubtful an astro physicist would forget spending the day with Neil DeGrasse Tyson.

If it would be some of first seasons, would be almost great. As biggest problem I see that it just repeats old style jokes, situations, and that is simply not so funny anymore. So, my opinion is that without some new style jokes, and some new characters, important characters this will lose popularity and sink. As is, it is now some kind of routine . Season 11 suffered from same problem big part of time.
Numerous guest stars can not make it much better, they are just spice.

The first shot of the final season had a couple of hits. But much of it is the same old stuff. When Amy's father and mother get into it, Leonard succumbs to Penny. She has gotten meaner and meaner as time has passed. Leonard, of course, is no prize. Then we have celebrities who seem to show up with regularity. Raj insults Neil DeGrasse Tyson. And, the Coopers are on their honeymoon at Legoland. But there is nothing new.

This show has changed my life and still changing it. Despite the haters, it still went for 12th season. Can't be happy enough. I still wanted them to go further but for some reasons they're cancelling it. Let's enjoy this season to it's fullest while we can.
About this episode, loved it. Every single moment of it. They really know what they're doing while presenting every character and their story line. And the end of the episode was so amazing! I jumped off my sofa and well...LOL.

I am very critical of the show, but the season premieres still feel like a big deal and this one actually made me laugh a lot.
You can't expect groundbreaking comedy with this show, but if you go in looking for character-driven jokes, tonight still gave you a couple of those even 12 seasons in.
So far Sheldon and Amy in married life might work.

If any one watched episodes from the first 3 seasons, and then jumped to S12, they'd wonder what the hell happened.
Adam Faberman did. No longer characters, the cast are caricatures.
Sheldon: once convinced of his own intellectual superiority while admitting social awkwardness, he's now egocentric and dismissive of everyone.
The rest of the cast fare no better.

As a real fan of the show, I felt compelled to write my first quick review. Wow! How did this get past the studio? Worst episode ever by a long way. A sad sad pale reflection of how this once great show used to be. Was going to ask, what were they thinking? Syndication? Money? It wasn't about ensuring the script was of a reasonable quality. It was a mystery to me how the studio audience found it funny. Are they given free alcohol on the way in? If this is the standard they are now working to, it's maybe just as well they're calling it a day.

Stale jokes, only bickering between everyone, unfunny situations. Why am I even watching this?
Do you guys remember the Scrubs episode in which they parodied sitcoms? Forced laughter with terrible overdrawn acting? Stupid storylines with little to no depth, urelatable characters? This is what The Big Bang Theory has become since about season 6. It's kind of sad, but hey, at least this will be the last season.
