These 5 minutes we got here are the music video for the Michael Jackson song "This Is It" and as he would have had his 60th birthday not too long ago and as the director is Spike Lee, who's making decent waves with his KKK movie these days, this short film (if you want to call it that) is also making more of an impact again than in recent years. But it's really not that good. The song is not among MJ's best, but still rock solid I guess. The video felt very forgettable to me. It is a decent hommage yes, but nothing somebody with advanced knowledge in video making could not have made and uploaded as a tribute video on Youtube. Of course, don't mistake it for the full feature length documentary of the same title. As for this one here, well if you love MJ than you will perhaps enjoy it and could check it out, but I doubt it will turn you into a fan and merely liking him (as I would describe my approach to his art and body of work) is not enough to appreciate these 5 minutes the way I hoped I would. Gotta give it a thumbs-down. Still restg in peace Michael and thank you for the music. And boy what happened to him later in life after seeing these pics of him as a boy. That's all folks. Watch something else instead. Or just listen to the record, the video site is mostly forgettable here.
