So, while a noble follow-up to the epic first half of this finale, I can't help but be a little disappointed in what we got. I thought it started out strong, but where Thrawn had been a menacing threat in the first half, he made a few decisions this time around that I thought were a bit out-of-character, even though it didn't ruin the continuity of Thrawn as a whole. I also found the Bendu's supernatural inclusion in this episode a lit weird and forced, even though it made for some impressive visual designing on the bts crews part. I did love the return of Sabine and how this teases a return to Mandalore in the next season, and I do think that the epic scale of the first episode was captured in great fashion this time around as well. I would have simply wanted a little more care from the writers' room, and a little more of that emotional that I felt in the first episode. Overall, this finale was pretty great, and even though the season had some deep downs, I still feel like it was a success in its entirety. I am excited to see where we are going in the final season, and how they will tie it all in to the original trilogy and beyond.
