A fun moment for A-Ha
Rodrigo_Amaro3 August 2023
Too adorable for words this video by A-Ha with one of their most catchiest songs of all time. In "You Are the One" a great tribute to the classic MGM musical "On the Town" is made with the three band members dressed as sailors while visiting New York and admiring the beautiful girls in the bright colorful and crowded city. Obvious that they don't recreate Sinatra, Kelly and Munshin routine but the concept presented makes you remember of that great film. Also present is a performance from the band and a dance sequence with female dancers during the solo part, all amazing moments and well-choreographed.

It's a very fun music video but I'd wish there'd be something of a storyline rather than skits where they follow the girls everywhere wheter on a taxi cab or on the streets. Maybe some form of competitions with the folks from the city or among themselves while trying to reach a common goal. Just some small challenge. But that's just me. I like the way New York was shot, very bright and the guys feel really amazed while admiring the city, the World Trade Center, they're like real tourists in the video and for some brief moments it all feels like a documentary following those guys...except for the sailor uniforms which we all know they aren't.

Cool stuff all the way, and the song is one of their most upbeat ever. Can't go wrong with this. 9/10.
