The writer for Little Behind, Trent Meunier, lived in an apartment with two friends downtown in his hometown, Ballston Spa, where he and his roommates tried a lot of the same antics featured in this series to try and get girls to come back to their apartment.
In real life, the writer for this series (Trent Meunier) moved into a giant flat apartment that used to be a dance studio. He and his roommates divided the space into four rooms. Two of which were a shared bedroom in the large dance stage area. One "bedroom" however was where a woman hung herself and each night during the time living there, all the guys were frightened of the visual of this suicide that happened over one of the guys' beds.
The original apartment that this show is based on had four roommates. Within a 3 year span at this apartment, there had been over a dozen occupants who resided at the apartment (only 4 original were legal). Never more than 4 at a time. The landlord never knew of any change and when the final occupants moved out, the landlord knew of no changes whatsoever. The only thing that raised an eyebrow was that the television would not turn off, even when unplugged. The roommates were convinced this was from the ghost of the woman who hung herself in the bedroom.
