Don't get discouraged by losers with no lives leaving bad reviews

Warning: Spoilers
His show is NOT a myth busters ripoff; myth busters did all sorts of different tests on their show ranging from "Wives Tales" to Conspiracy Theory while this show ONLY focuses on movie weapon and specific scenes they are used in to see if it could actually work in real life. For example in Alien where the big guy shoots the Mini gun while carrying it (not possible in real life as test on this show)

This show is so much fun!! Terry and Larry are a great duo of opposite personalities that make the show funny and at the same time extremely interesting to learn about

The pilot is really cool you meet some of the cast from Criminal minds and they test if you can shoot a gun through a car windshield like in one of the CM episodes where Hodgner shoots the unsub through the windshield underwater. This show grabbed me at first bc I'm a big Criminal Minds fan but also loved myth busters but wanted more Hollywood scenes and movie weapons.

Please give this show a try! U will not be disappointed

To be clear

There seems to be a lot of debate over the pilot episode and which window you should shoot through. The front windshield or the side window? If you watch the episode of criminal minds Thomas Gibson shot through the windshield. That's the test. And Hollywood weapons did exactly that.

Annoying snorefest
darthbraindrain17 August 2020
Stretching a question that can be answered in less than 5 mins into a 20 min show makes it boring and clunky forcing lame jokes doesn't help either not to mention he turns up at places and acts, looks and talks like he has no clue why he's there or even what day it is (seems to be a good soldier but not good in front of a camera) he also contradicts himself which is mind boggling, good opportunity for a drinking game if u want though (drink every time he mentions that he's 'special forces'/'green berret' and ever time he repeats the premise of each show) but be prepared to get wasted.

way too much filler

Once again, a good concept spoiled by the stupid idea that the host is more interesting than the reason we came to see it.

Total rip off
darrylbl1117 August 2020
Just watched an episode where the entire show was on the Jaws scene where they shoot the tank in the sharks mouth. Literally an exact copy ripoff of Mythbusters. Complete waste of time. Will not watch another episode ever

Cringeworthy, even if you don't care that it's not MythBusters
liam-807-93745314 February 2019
This show is genuinely terrible.

The entire thing is scripted and Terry is a terrible actor. Imagine MythBusters if the whole show was as awful as when M7 are trying to act

A abomination and myth busters rip off
thomasthacker28 June 2018
At least 3 of the episodes have already been proved/disproved on the mythbusters (which did a way better job). If you want to see things like this I suggest watching the mythbusters and not this trash

2nd rate Mythbusters copycat!
penguinsrock-234415 July 2018
80% or more of this show tackles the same concepts/myths that Mythbusters did. In addition Hollywood Weapons experiments are way less thorough than Mythbusters. In conclusion, skip this waste of time show and just watch Mythbusters.

Almost made it to the end of the first episode.
SevenT26 July 2018
I was actually thinking "Sweet, more Mythbusters style testing!" What I got was a man repeatedly telling people the thing that he wanted to test (and us, the audience, as if we were goldfish and would forget if he didn't tell us every 30 seconds or so) awkwardly talking to people then testing something that would have been done by the B-Team on Mythbusters whilst they handled a bigger myth in the same episode.

Hard pass.

What!? Wait...Hold on...
DocJD29 October 2018
Have you ever fallen asleep on the couch exhausted from a days work, only to be uncomfortably woken at 2am to that annoying infomercial? What's memorable about infomercials is that typical voiceover and the repetitiveness, and that's what I thought episode 1 of Hollywood Weapons was...

The subject matter (at least in the first episode) is in the interests of anyone excited by guns, bombs, or automobiles, but it wears way too thin way too quickly. There's so much repetition the program needs a couple of commercials...

Due to the Clockwork Orange like behavioral constraints that would be necessary for me to stick it out to the end, (I was already too turned off to make to the end of the 1st episode), that I couldn't even find the love to google for an answer...maybe I was confused and somehow thought I had to sail some number to order my steak knives that can cut through an aluminum can.

The 1st episode might have been a pilot, so my advice is to try watching from episode 3 or 4. I'm guessing here so no promises, but surely subsequent episodes can't be as bad as the 1st. Right now I'd rather jab myself in the eye with a pen than find out. Perhaps younger audiences won't be as critical as I have been, but I am paying for this stuff...

Underwater shooting of a Glock 17 through a windshield
usmclife-288459 August 2018
After watching this episode I noticed quite a few items that were not let's say up to par 1 the distance of the pistol from the glass to the way a windshield is designed is much different than a side window not only do you have glass thickness as a problem and difference between the two glasses you also have the fact a windshield has an extra layer between its two separate layers of glass both of which are safety glass the other problem I see is the difference from the distance of the window allowing for the kinetic energy to be diminished by the water before it reached the glass this distance makes all of the difference not only that but the different types of glass used and the thickness of the glass I don't think that this trial was done correctly

Great Show!
ultimatecowboysfan24 March 2021
I throughly enjoy this show! They intelligently recreate events from movies to see if they are plausible. It is entertaining and interesting. The cast does a great job of keeping it fun. They also occasionally interview an actor who was in that particular movie. I have seen both Tom Seleck and Gary Sinise on the show. I have it set to record in case I miss an episode. I just watched Tom Hanks in "News of the World." I would like to see them address whether or not you can load a shotgun with, it looks like, dimes and make it a viable weapon. That was done in the movie.
