SandalwoodTouted to be a thriller, the film is expected to go on the floors in mid 2018.Digital NativeDigital NativeRamesh Aravind recently wrapped up the shooting for the Kannada movie Butterfly and the Tamil film Paris Paris. Both are remakes of the Bollywood hit movie Queen, directed by Vikas Bahl and featuring Kangana Ranaut in the lead role. The actor-director, who had donned the director’s robes for both the Tamil and Kannada remakes, will now be moving on to his acting assignments. The actor has inked a deal to star in choreographer-turned-director Imran Sardhariya’s project and is reportedly excited about it. Touted to be a thriller, the film is expected to go on the floors in mid 2018. The director is said to be currently busy with the pre-production work. It may be mentioned here that Imran Sardhariya has directed two films so far – Endendigu and Uppu Huli Khara – and both films had turned out to be box office duds. It needs to be seen if he will strike gold with the Ramesh Aravind starrer. In the meantime, Ramesh Aravind will be wrapping up Bhairadevi, which has Radhika Kumaraswamy playing the female lead. Considering the popularity of both the lead actors, the film will be made in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu. Apart from Ramesh Aravind and Radhika, Bhairadevi also features Anu Prabhakar and Skanda Ashok in the star cast. Touted to be a complete family entertainer with thriller elements, the film is helmed by director Srijai of Rx Soori fame, which had Duniya Vijay in the lead. In Ramesh Aravind’s remake of Queen, Parul Yadav and Kajal Aggarwal reprise Kangana Ranaut’s role in Kannada and Tamil respectively. Golden Crab Film Production, a London-based production company, has acquired the rights to remake the Bollywood blockbuster in all south Indian languages. The film in Kannada and Tamil also features Elli AvrRam and Varun Shashi in the cast. Composer Amit Trivedi is working on the music for both the films and Sathya Hegde is handling the camerawork. The exact release dates of both the films are expected to be revealed soon. (Content provided by Digital Native)...
