Tennant and Lowe are formally introduced at 0:34, after a series of quick cuts where they are shown a shots of the London's different sub-cultures at the time. The street where they appear walking is Wentworth Street in Petticoat Lane Market.
At 2:08 a woman behind Tennant and Lowe breaks the fourth wall, running to avoid the camera that is passing quickly between Tennant and Lowe.
TRADEMARK: Chris Lowe does nothing in the video. He simply accompanies Tennant while he sings.
When Tennant and Lowe are introduced walking by the street, a black man in gray pants and hat, blue jacket and yellow shirt with black horizontal stripes is seen walking close to them. He isn't part of the band, just a pedestrian walking by this street when the video was being filmed.
In the intro, a voice sings: "Get on the microphone forever." Even though it sounds like Neil Tennant's voice it's actually a girl's voice that West End Girls producer Stephen Hague recorded on a London street while recording city sounds for the West End Girls intro.
