Warning: Spoilers
Here we got the 6-minute music video for Radiohead's "The Numbers" from 2016 that was directed by Paul Thomas Anderson (who recently returned a great deal to his music video filming roots) and he has worked with these guys on many occasions, also for example on his new movie "Phantom Thread". This music video could not be any more essential. We have two guys sitting outside, one playing guitar, the other providing the vocals. There may be bigger Radiohead fans out there than myself, but I don't dislike them either. Just haven't been too much in touch with Yorke, Greenwood and the rest over the years. What I saw and listened to here, I did like though. Very simplistic, yet very good for the most part. I especially liked the singing part at the very end. No regrets I checked this ome out and it shows those current pop starlets how to deliver class these days without being 100% in your face or desperate to make an impact by also including ridiculous potential call-out songs. A song and video that is easy to appreciate. Is it by the numbers? You decide. It's all about the art, the music - that much is safe.
