- A minister with all the good intentions, a bureaucrat who wants his share of the game and a private secretary who is torn between the two - and the matters of the State to be decided between the three of them.
- Ji Mantriji. Adopted from the popular BBC series Yes Minister, it has been produced in Delhi in collaboration with BBC Worldwide. The essence of the original characters and the issues are faithfully followed. The circumstances, though, are adopted to suit the Indian audience. References to Russia in the UK version have been changed to Pakistan, cricket becomes football, and the EEC has been exchanged for the Commonwealth. The series revolves around the interactions between the three characters - Surya Prakash Singh (Farooque Sheikh), Minister, Department of Administrative Affairs and Public Grievances, the secretary of the department, Rajnath Mathur (Jayant Kriplani) and the minister's private secretary, Kaul (Paritosh Sand). Through many amusing instances, it brings out the conflict between senior politicians and the bureaucracy - with the flappable minister at the receiving end of attempts to outwit him. All the political spin and bureaucratic bungling of the original is imbued with Indian color as well.
