Actually pretty good.
silent_whispers29 September 2020
This popped up on Hulu while I was browsing foreign TV shows. I've been a long time Asian Drama fan, and had recently tried a few other shows from other countries and I decided to check out other countries. First off I am a huge sucker for vampire anything (*winks*) and the idea of watching one from Israel just seemed kind of awesome. I immiedately jumped right on it. To be bored for a while until our male lead meets our lady vampire. Which was one of the best scenes of the whole show. So good that it carried me through all the way to the end.

Which seemed to be the magic of this show. I speed watched a few parts, but there were always these great character scenes and moments that kept me going. It was this perfect blend of unique and fantastical new ideas for vampires. Then a wonderful Bromance that I just couldn't get enough of! Not to mention the entire cast was so well done.

I will say this is selling itself as a romance, but it is not. Not really. Besides that first episode I do not think there was much romance. Until the end where there's confessions of love and that just-ugh. The male lead had more time and connection with his Ex. Heck the lady vampire and the Ex had more development and connection than the intended romance. (Not kidding.) I was a bit annoyed by the very typical role of the only two female characters, who did not feel like leads. Not to mention the blood source most of the other females where. So, boo.

That said I enjoyed the plot so much. Sometimes the pacing got a bit off, but I give Juda tons of props for the surprise twists. Because shows barely surprise me anymore. Not to mention the fun connections of the characters.

I'm actually very much interested in a season 2 and hope there will be one in the future! I loved the unique mythology on vampires, it's always fun to discover the ideas never end. The characters are so much fun and wonderful together that I can't wait to see them grow together. Not to mention this ends on a pretty big twist and cliffhanger!!

Nice twist on vampire lore

Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoyed this show. Hope we get the 2nd season in the US soon. My only gripe(and it's a small one) is sometimes the show seems to try to hard to be "cool". A few inconsistencies in the story. Juda!! Don't drink human blood! Juda constantly drinks human blood. Drinking from the dead which usually ends badly for vampires but not here. Things like that. All in all. An entertaining series.

Outstanding

There's something about the feel of show that sticks with you. Today's over marketed shows seem vague, predictable and very bland. Not this one. First off, it has 4 different languages which in my opinion is amazing it's fun and very original, keeps things lively. Second the core plot is creative and not done before. The sarcasm and comedy of the show gives off the vibe the show is trying to set - Action based, not to serious dark folk tale setting. What really gets me - is the character development and how these actors have crafted the show to be hilarious, dark and emotional. There's a lot you can do with this show and I think the director has created a secret recipe from how shows use to be in the earlier years. - This show is outstanding bravo, I really hope for a season 3 & 4 it has alot of potential. This and the show - warrior nun - have some similarities but they both harness so much potential. I hope to see more support in shows like these. Good job "Juda"!

BEST VAMPIRE SERIES!

This is such a creative take on the age old vampire stories. I loved the whole story asks the actors are just amazing! Juda is so cute, funny and loveable...I know that doesn't jive worth a vampire but juda isn't your typical vampire. This dark comedy will keep you watching and wanting more! Vampires have always been my favorite horror sub-genre so take this from a vampire expert you won't be disappointed with this series.

Tarantino in Israel

Second season is too much parody on the movies of Q.Tarantino.. All the effects and music choise making me feel like I am watching a Tarantino movie...even Ovetarantined...
