Spring 1979. Denain's steelworkers have had enough. Alma, an intern in Maître Marc Duparcq's office, wants to help the unions. She meets Rodolphe, who's set up a pirate radio station supporting the movement, and Fadi, a Moroccan photographer and steelworker who has photographed a policeman shooting at a demonstrator. Alma takes them to Chambries to develop the photo in the print-works now managed by Solana. For the anniversary of their fathers' deaths, Solana and Alma patiently await the return of Caroline, who left for North Africa a year ago.
