Not funny, not catchy, not artistic, just cringey

Here we got the music video for the song "Motherlover" by The Lonely Island Feat. Justin Timberlake. Like most other TLI stuff, it is relatively short at under three minutes and this is one of the band's more, but not most known works I guess. It will have its 10th anniversary already next year and to show you how famous this little SNL band is and already was back then, you only need to take a look at how they got pop idol Justin Timberlake, Oscar winner Susan Sarandon and Oscar nominee Patricia Clarkson to appear in this one. The latter two player the women that our two "heroes" want to f... err.. make love to and how both have an interest in the mother that loves the other one. So a bit of a love square here, not just a love triangle. Okay, as for the artistic quality, it is pretty much not existent. Over 100 million Youtube views mean nothing these days. It is not a good song, not a funny sketch and just nothing interesting. Also it feels really embarrassing how bick the difference in vocal talent is between Timberlake and Samberg early on especially in their first scene, even if they tried to hold Timberlake back, but it is still oh so obvious. Samberg is humming and that's all. Now I don't like Samberg at all, same for Clarkson, did not like Timberlake back in the day, but he is okay now whil I don't mind Sarandon, so all in all also the subjective side made it difficult for me to appreciate this TLI video that is more about music than about comedy than during most of their other outings. I guess that comes automatically if you have a talent like Timberlake in the cast. Anyway, still others may not dislike it as much as I did, but I really cannot see how anybody sees real talent in here. Very weak in my opinion. Highly not recommended.
