This is the finale that the show deserves and it makes up for the weak last season. Though predictable in its setup and sentimentality, this was a very funny episode that maintained the heart of the show. Also, loved the ending!

I didn't watch New Girl until 2020 during the pandemic. Now after rewatching the series many more times - this episode is an excellent ending to a superb series. I really liked how Jess brought out so many mementos from previous episodes and the gang reminisced. Winston was finally able to earn his self assigned title of 'Prank Sinatra'. The dialog between the gang portrays how much everyone genuinely love each other. The episode includes a flash forward to show how their friendship endures. I will miss everyone from 4D and hope for a reunion show in the near future!

First off, why did they not bring back Coach.
Secondly this should have just been a season finale not a series finale.
Winston saying gotcha would have been fine as a season opener but to finish like this is just bizarre.
It's a shame the show finished like this. Season 7 was a real struggle, not really sure what the writers were thinking as the characters were soo easy to write and they really could have writen some great stuff with them but it was pretty much all filler this season.
The show could have just finished off with the guys leaving the loft and Jess finding out she's pregnant.
And what ever happened to Winston's dad? Guess he never meets him.

The only reason I rated it as high as I did was because of how much I loved the first 5 seasons of the show. It turned into an unfunny parody of itself starring knockoff, watered-down caricatures of the characters we grew to love. Regarding the finale itself, it's almost like the writers sat down with a huge list of all of the heartfelt things that made the show what it was, and tried to shoehorn them all in. Then they threw in a Scrubs-style flash forward, capped it off with an admittedly-good Prank Sinatra and called it a day. I wish if they announce they'll cancel a show, they'd just cancel it. New Girl deserved better.

Seasons 1-6 were fantastic. Intelligent, charismatic and hilarious. Season 7 however, was immensely disappointing. The actors playing their characters seemed like they had had enough. The writing of the script forced all humour and lost laughs as the season went on. The final episode left very disappointed. I only wish the show had the send of it served and worked so hard for over 6 years

This series went downhill in the last episodes and ended with one of the dumbest of them all. Only good thing about the ending was that I am happy we never need see another episode of this.
Most of the characters behaved like idiots in a much worse sense than ever before in this show. This last episode made us want to not see anymore of the show.

Looking at the bright side the show is finally over. At first a funny show that promised very much and I'd like to think that for a few season it did deliver on that promise. But the last season is a nightmare ending with two of the worst episodes I've seen. And this last episode is just wrong, I kept trying to see if the plot had any meaning. Spoiler it didn't. Sad finale but I'm glad it's over.

Started off great with a lot of laughs in Season 1, after that it went worse with every season, up until the worst of all season 7. Jess is extremely unbearable and the best time of the show was when she went on Jury Duty cause she left the show.
Only Schmidt and Winston are bearable and kind of funny.
Do not watch this show after season 1, it is a huge waste of time.
