Harrowing viewing once again, hearing of the abuse brings several tears to the eye, hard to imagine what these poor girls suffered. That revelation about being shown the body, it's like something from a sadistic work of fiction.
I knew I'd speculated too soon when I previously commented about the Catholic Church being shown in a positive light, there are fragments, but on the whole, it's shown as being rotten to the core here, corrupt, abusive, complicit, it's pretty damning.
As soon as they focused on that picture of Father Maskell, you just knew what was about to follow, and unfortunately it was as expected, the man was a monster.
