Many times remarked on, the relationship between the two has been well highlighted, as it is here. Incidentally the word England was used at the time of WW2 and for many years after, it was understood to include Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The latter PC version is just that.('There'll always be an England!')

Disgraceful

This documentary constantly refers to 'england' when it actually means 'Britain' - the troops that defended Britain came from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. It shows astounding ignorance to only refer to them only as 'English'. Undermines the credibility of the whole documentary.
