After David's handling of the tenfold classic book order crisis in Bree's bookshop impresses even Simon, Jess is baffled to discover David paid them for the local school, being a member of the obscenely rich Boston Pecks, which he hid to be treated normally, but now he's obliged to help out his father as interim CEO, so he coaches her to hold the fort at the B&B. Simon launches Bree' career properly by getting a major publishing firm to take her semi-biographical manuscript, only to be scorned as perfect lover for 'bossing'. After negotiating advice from Mick concerning sincere intentions, Trace is inclined to accept Mark Hall's offer, yet declines, until Abby takes Nell's advice not to let him feel he signed off his musical future for her after forgiving her to leave him for her shot at Wall Street, so he ends up signing. Kevin commits to paramedic schooling, Connor signs up as Thomas's lawyer and Mick passes on, working out an ecologically better deal with Thomas.
