At the end of Episode 7, John and Maureen are covered in tar. At the start of This episode which is several minutes later, their arms and clothing are virtually clean without anything to wipe it off with, also after leaving with nothing other than a knife, John suddenly has a backpack and is wearing a different shirt.
While the Robinson's are having the family meeting regarding pilots, John and Will step into the hallway to have a heart to heart. When the next shot cuts back to a close-up of Judy leaning her head into Maureen's chest, the wide shot has them not touching or hugging.
In their efforts to reach the Resolute, which is still orbiting the planet, Maureen, the space engineer, says that they have to "reach escape velocity" and "hit escape velocity", when in both cases it's orbital velocity that they need to hit, once above the atmosphere. None of the space pilots mention the error either. Escape velocity is higher, an indicates the energy required to completely get out of a gravity well an into free space.
Will offers to help an obviously at-ends Maureen by looking at her printouts of the calculated target weight that they have enough fuel for, and a spreadsheet of items and their weights that they know that they can remove (which would easily have a total on it), and states the obvious by saying "It's still too heavy", him being the expert on Which Number Is Higher.
