Bandai Namco gave Little Nightmares fans the mobile version of the hit platformer last month, and it appears for 2024 that they aren’t quite done with revisiting the original game. According to the Esrb, Bandai Namco is planning a Little Nightmares: Enhanced Edition for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.
This (so far) unannounced version of Little Nightmares was originally spotted by Gematsu on South Africa’s Film and Publication Board last January. This new rating summary on the Esrb website doesn’t really detail anything more about Little Nightmares: Enhanced Edition, so we’re only left to speculate on what it entails.
One could assume that the game will sport the usual current-gen enhancements, such as increased resolution up to 4K visuals, as well as including all of the previously-released Dlc. It’s not known if this would be a free upgrade for existing owners of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions.

While we wait for Little Nightmares III to arrive next year, Bandai Namco and developer Playdigious have given the Tarsier Studios original a mobile makeover. Yes, 2017’s Little Nightmares is now available to play on your iOS and Android devices.
This mobile version of Little Nightmares introduces a revamped touch Ui, but also comes with controller support and a cloud-based save system. It’s not clear if the Secrets of the Maw expansion is included with this version of Little Nightmares, however.
For those who haven’t played Little Nightmares before, the game is a single-player horror adventure title that centres on a girl named Six, who must traverse the various environments of the underwater iron vessel known as the Maw, and escape. Along the way, Six will need to solve puzzles to proceed, while also avoiding the monstrous beings that inhabit the Maw. You’ll have to employ stealth mechanics to avoid being seen,...

The 13-year-old musical prodigy, Nandi Bushell, is back with a new song, and instead of a cover, this time it’s an original. Teaming up with actor Josh Brolin, Bushell has released “Sweet Nightmares,” a spooky track she wrote which arrives on the perfect date: October’s Friday the 13th. Stream the single below.
With a driving rock arrangement, “Sweet Nightmares” features a haunting, ghoulish vocal performance from Brolin, though he mostly offers interjections like “Run, run, you better run!” Taking center stage are Bushell’s vocals, which range from spitting verses about how “leaders are liars” to melodic choruses that feel equal-parts Britpop, rock, and campy horror.
For her part, Bushell explained that things which are “a bit scary and dark” are often her favorite. “My favorite movie is Batman: Dark Knight,” she said in a statement. “My favorite director is Tim Burton; my favorite computer game is Little Nightmares...

Nintendo was the big winner of this year’s Gamescom, the international video game conference that wrapped up in Cologne, Germany, on Sunday. Nintendo Switch game The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom picked up multiple awards, including for best gameplay, best audio and the honor of most epic title at this year’s event.
Already one of the highest-rated games of the year, the latest edition of the popular Zelda adventure franchise has drawn raves for its stunning visuals, open-world architecture and creative gameplay. It was easily the pick of the batch at Gamescom 2023.
Other Gamescom standouts include the action role-playing game Black Myth: Wukong from Game Science Interactive Technology, which took the best visuals honor; fighting title Mortal Kombat 1 won the best Xbox Game title; and that game company’s Sky: Children of the Light took the prize for the best mobile game award.

After celebrating a huge sales milestone for the Little Nightmares series, it appears that Bandai Namco is moving forward with their plan to continue the franchise. While the news is not a definite Little Nightmares III, it certainly does lean towards that being a possibility.
Spotted by Twitter user @SmackNPie, Bandai Namco has posted a new internship position on LinkedIn for a Producer Assistant for the Little Nightmares IP. Details on the project are of course kept to a minimum, but this is another confirmation for fans of the series that Bandai Namco is looking to move forward with another entry, despite losing original developer Tarsier Studios to Embracer Group back in 2019.
Again, the listing doesn’t specifically state that the project is Little Nightmares III, as it could very well be another spin-off in the vein of Very Little Nightmares, which was released for iOS back in 2019.

If for some reason you still haven’t delved into Tarsier Studios and Bandai Namco’s Little Nightmares series, it’s hard to imagine why. Publisher Bandai Namco has announced that the Little Nightmares games have now sold more than 12 million units sold across PC and consoles.
“The Little Nightmares franchise has seen some great growth and success since the first episode, which was released six years ago”, said Arnaud Muller, CEO of Bandai Namco Europe. “We are proud of the work accomplished by the teams at Bandai Namco Europe along with Tarsier Studios, Engine Software and Supermassive Games to make great games while at the same time expanding the franchise to more media.”
While it all sounds great, the question of what’s next for the franchise is an intriguing one. Tarsier Studios is now owned by Embracer Group, having acquired the developer back in 2019. Bandai Namco still owns...

A few years ago, there was a quiet wave of video games, indie and otherwise, that drew on the existential terror of childhood. Think of Limbo, Inside, Little Nightmares, Among the Sleep, or Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. These games usually put you in the shoes of a little kid, stuck in a world that’s too big for them, with very little ability to comprehend what’s happening.
Somerville feels like one of those children actually managed to grow up, only to find that the world had expanded right along with them. It’s a minimalist puzzle game, with no dialogue and almost no text, that leaves most of its mechanics and storyline up to the player’s intuition and interpretation.
At its best, Somerville is effectively tense, particularly in its mix of mundane sights and sounds with peculiar alien geometries. It’s an impressive showcase for environmental storytelling and visual design,...

As subscription-based, on-demand gaming services have gained popularity in recent years, both PlayStation Now and Xbox Game Pass have established their positions at the top of the market by offering a variety of content and great value for subscribers. There’s just one burning question demands to be answered: Which one is better?
It’s a tough one. Each has advantages over the other – Ps Now has more attractive pricing plus its library of 700+ titles makes Game Pass’ library of around 200 look paltry in comparison, whereas Xbox Game Pass tends to offer more recent games as well as including first party titles on the day of release.
It’s hard to say which one is better overall, but taken one month at a time, we may get our answer. So join us as we look at what’s been added and what was removed from each service and declare which...

Sony has just kicked off its latest sale for all PlayStation owners, this time in celebration of the year’s spookiest holiday.
Well over 200 individual games (including Dlc and special editions) are currently available for a fraction of their usual asking price in the aptly-named Halloween Sale, with the majority of those included in the promotion belonging to the horror genre. There are some exceptions that wholly ignore the theme, of course, such as Crash Team Racing and Spyro (your guess is as good as ours), but generally speaking, most of what you’ll find here either contains zombies, human-eating monsters, murderous animatronic animals or legions of demons intent on enslaving Earth’s entire population.
See if you can spot the games each of those references belongs to – as well as hundreds of other lesser-known titles – via the full list below.

Depending on your own personal gaming preferences, premium services such as PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold are either worth every penny or are often hit and miss when it comes to the additional perks they offer on a regular basis.
Exclusive discounts and free games are, of course, the two biggest accompaniments intended to incentivize continued subscription to either online environment, the latter of which has been on the receiving end of some harsh criticism as of late. The dissatisfaction, it seems, stems from a perceived lack of care when it comes time for platform holders to choose which titles are being given away each month, and while Sony generally appears to be the better of the two in that regard, the presence of NBA 2K20 this month hasn’t exactly filled social media with delighted fans.

In the United States, where I live, we rely on the Esrb when it comes to video game ratings. Like its many predecessors, the remake of Resident Evil 2 is rated “M” for “mature,” specifically for “blood and gore, intense violence and strong language.” For some, that’s everything required for a perfect evening.
But in some places of the world, their censorship guidelines are stricter and, in this case, gamers residing in China won’t be able to partake in the fun enjoyed by those of us who’ve already booked a return trip to Raccoon City. But as you may have guessed, this prohibition hasn’t stopped some vendors from selling the product to Chinese consumers regardless.
Hilariously enough, this circumvention has often been achieved by using different box art and titles in an attempt to fool authorities. In keeping with bootlegging tradition, the following monikers have been applied:...

Be it the ease and cost of development, or a retrospective artistic trend, the horror genre has come back to the semi-2D plane in a big way, and the indie-friendly Nintendo Switch is reaping the benefits. The eldritch terrors of Darkest Dungeon should satisfy those looking for an RPG with psychological consequences. A 2D survival horror game called Detention by Taiwanese developer Red Candle Games draws from that same country’s history and culture to deliver its frights, and it’s one of the eShop’s hidden gems. Those looking for a puzzle platformer, however, may now turn to Little Nightmares, a game from Swedish developer Tarsier Studios.

Bandai Namco, publisher of the “Tekken” and “Soulcalibur” series, is partnering with independent developer DigixArt and “Wallace & Gromit” creator Aardman Animation Studios on a new story-driven World War I adventure game called “11-11: Memories Retold,” the companies announced Wednesday.
As of right now, details on “11-11” are relatively scant, but based on the game’s reveal trailer (seen below) it appears to be going for a striking, painterly aesthetic, contrasting the drab colors of battlefields with the beauty of flowers.
