So bad that it needs a new word for "bad"
aarpcats26 June 2022
Don't get me wrong. I appreciate "so bad they are good" horror movies, as well as homages to the schlock of the past. However, I found neither in this film.

Bad acting, predictable storylines and women in lingerie make this one more crap fest that includes the usual five minutes of Eric Roberts doing what he can to keep his SAG health insurance. The rest of cast includes the usual waitresses, bartenders and valet car parkers whose real jobs pay the bills while they try to get their first break.

May they all get something other than this film to make them famous.

How??
coltjessica11 August 2022
I assume you gotta have a buck or know someone to get this into a streaming service. Dont get me wrong I appreciate "B" movies.. I get made fun of for watching them. This however is college growth, not even to be rated yet, kind of production. The money being spent here is being wasted except.... Shout out to Eric Robert's. Love him for doing this favor or to have to do these crap jobs to make a living.

Ive seen tons of shorts on Alter and Screamfest that were 7 mins that blow this out of the water. Kudos to them for getting it made and getting Amazon to play it, but use you money on less because it would be much much more in this case. Work on all aspects lighting, sound, actors, the scripts/tales are decent if the production was there.

Sorry this is as nice I could muster. I watch anything and understand its hard work this. I hope you're a younging and will grow from this.

An anthology horrid
HorrorFilmHellion5 October 2022
As a seeker for horror anthologies, this is at the bottom of the entries in the last few years. It really suffers from poor execution, unconvincing acting, and zero budget design/production. The directing and editing seem non-existent except for shoddy PP effects. For actors that have a at least a B track record of performance experience, I found it surprisingly weak in this area. Some of that may have been symptoms of other issues, direction/script/otherwise. Either way, I was struggling to see this one through. The whole thing was dubious at best, and it can't all be blamed on the budget or bad CGI. And yes, the CGI is bottom tier.

Was...

The whole budget used for Eric Roberts for his 10 minute inclusion? So much more could have come out of the stories, had they not worried about having a main stream actor at his lowest than these terrible, below b(d actors) performances. 3 C actors would have been much less painful.

Poor Eric Roberts
kabaka-4969321 July 2022
I have never felt more sorry for a washed up actor than I do for Eric Roberts for appearing in this colossal piece of $h!+. He need professional mental health.

Pretty awful and uninspired
dramos075 September 2022
The entire anthology is just about the most awful thing you could watch to punish yourself. These aren't even B list actors. That would be a compliment. The acting is what you might expect in a very cheap adult video. It's tacky and incredibly boring. The writing is terrible. I can't tell if this is intentionally awful. It actually seems like they thought this was worth doing. It's so so bad. Not even good enough for a a few laughs at how awful it is. The writers seem to have taken Tired and used up story lines to recycle using actors that maybe seriously think they're good?? Hard to say. The whole thing plays like a skit you might do when using role play to mimic someone. Definitely not acting. At least nothing you'd seriously call acting. Don't waste your time. Not worth the curiosity.

Worth the watch
ceasarj18 April 2022
I love anthology movies especially horror ones so this was right up my alley. I liked all the different stories and the build up to them. My only critic is that some stories went by quicker than others and some characters could have done with more screen time. Laura Meadows's character felt very important to the creation of her son the killer so it would have been nice for her character to be featured more than just a few glimpses.

Overall I'll definitely be watching this movie again and look forward to seeing more projects from everyone involved.

Cheap, but good horror fun
chaosbaron8 June 2022
If you are a fan of Tales from the Crypt, Creepshow, or the like, you might enjoy this anthology film.

This is no great work of art, but has a good mix of stories with some silly off the wall twists, some better than others.

The CGI, was as to be expected not extraordinary. I think if the film would have went with some more practical, even if as cheap, would have looked more charming.

Some of the stories shot by a bit quickly, as one might expect when you include 8 sometimes loosely connected mini stories together.

The acting was, perfectly adequate for this type of film.

Great, scary and unique
brittprentice22 April 2022
This is a great watch. Kind of like Tales from the Crypt but totally different as well. A series of vignettes tied together very uniquely. Eric Roberts has a great role. Shane Woodson has a very entertaining film that I hear is winning awards on the festival circuit as well.

Notes: Britt Prentice is great as the sidekick friend to Rey Marz's character who is very good. And Drew Hale is very strong also.

Better than expected
capthollywood717 April 2022
Sometimes, obviously low budget independent films are often pretty bad, but I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Like a lot of these films, there were some very good performances and a few pretty bad ones. But it moved quickly, and always good to see Eric Robert camp it up. At $2.99, a bargain.

Riveting anthology of 8 short stories
johnmaryandkids12 April 2022
The movie starts off at a slow pace and and as the movie progresses it picks up speed and grabs the interest of the viewer.

The movie becomes more interesting with each following story. The acting was professional, not cheesy or choppy, the scenes look to be shot on site, not on a soundstage.

The stories are suspenseful and make the audience want to keep watching to see where the seperate tales are go.

The surprise ending is well worth the wait.

I might add actor Britt Prentice's performance was professional. He obviously has had a lot of training in the performing arts to be convincing in the role he played. His lines were delivered seamlessly and he has a dynamic range and looks to be able to play a broad range of characters. I look forward to seeing Britt Prentice in more prominent roles in both movies and television.

It's a B Movie - What Do You Expect?
rebeltaz-1870523 October 2022
Let's start off with the obvious. This is a B movie. There is no sugar coating that. Once you know that, your ahead of the other reviewers. No, it's not going to be winning any awards (not that winning awards means a movie is any good, but...). No, the acting isn't first class, stellar performances. No, the script isn't William Shakespeare. No, there isn't even any nudity! PG-13 nudity, but ... sadly, none of the standard B-movie gratuitous nudity we've come to expect from this type of movie.

Having said all that, you're probably wondering why on earth I'd rate this a six, huh? Well... even with all of that, it's not a bad movie. There's nothing to hate. While the acting isn't stellar... it's not bad. While the script isn't Robert Frost... it's not trash. If you are looking for an entertaining movie that you can sit and watch for an hour and a half without any subtext, you could do a lot worse.

Russ Meyer eat your heart out!
mrdigital1318 April 2022
If you know who Russ Meyer is, then you know how he single handedly created a genre of filmmaking that transcended the B movie skin flick and crossed over into the mainstream with a cult following that is still going strong today. 8 Days to Hell is a throwback to Russ in a homage that definitely hits with all the right gore, sexuality and innuendo. If you're a fan of Russ, then definitely check this out. I promise you will not be disappointed.

Worth your time horror anthology
johndonny-1071028 November 2022
As a collector of horror anthology movies, I have emassed a large collection. I would not say this movie goes into the excellent section but it it will be on the good shelf. It does have a bit of a b movie feel but it isn't altogether cheese. Most of the segments work and there are some good twists in a few that will leave you smirking more then being terrified. I liked most of the effects, the acting ranges from solid to hanging on by a thread. But as bad as anthologies can be this one is worth a watch and if you aren't expecting an Exorcist level horror film and watch it for what it is with a bag of popcorn on a rainy night you'll be entertained.

Really fun!
directortim201222 April 2022
This great anthology took me back to my youth and my Tales From the Crypt days. I enjoyed every single segment, which is pretty amazing for a vignette style movie. Looks great and solidly acted, especially for a low budget film. Terrific to see Eric Roberts in the film. I had an awesome time with this movie!
