Amelia, Amelia, Amelia
slevine2927 May 2021
When this episode first aired, social media gave Amelia's character a hard time for her supposed trauma. However, if you watch her in Private Practice you know what she suffered through. You felt her loss of her fiance, her son, and the comeback of her addiction.

This episode touches on a lot of things. While I'm getting tired of hearing the same line "the carousel never stops turning," we see Amelia finally accept Derek's death. Caterina Scorsone's performance when talking to Owen was electric. If you have lost anyone, Caterina succeeded in all that pain coming back. T was a very moving moment in the episode.

It is New Year's Day, and April still hasn't returned to Seattle yet. JJ has past away, Jo discovered this in the morning. Owen and April have returned at the hospital. Amelia cries in Owen his arm because Derek died. Meredith is bleeding, she has been brought to the hospital. Meredith gave birth to her daughter. Caterina Scorsone's performance this episode has proven just how great of an actress she is; she was great in private practice but she has flourished and become absolutely phenomenal on grey's. I love how this episode shows how each character is trying to come to terms with Derek's death and each actor/actress delivered phenomenal performances. Loved how the flashbacks provided more insight into Ellis grey's character and allows for deeper insight into her character; the parallels between Meredith and her moms storyline were perfect and helped move the story along seamlessly.
