Perfectly enjoyable
mrswenn3 April 2023
OK so it's not a 'great' series like The Wire or The Sopranos, but it's perfectly watchable. If you like Greys Anatomy then you'll probably like this as well - don't understand all the negative reviews at all.

The stories may not be realistic, (but neither are Greys Anatomy!) but if you want realism then watch a documentary, it's escapism, it's ENTERTAINMENT.

The comments about the acting seem unfair as well, again it's totally fine

So, in summary, if you don't like it then don't watch, but, for me, I'm enjoying it and will definitely continue to watch - taking it for what it is, a TV show where the actors just happen to be pretending to be fire fighters.

Glad I gave it a go

Warning: Spoilers
Ny expectations were not very high with this show, especially since there were some not so good reviews but I have to say I'm hooked. I'm not expecting true to life stories as this is a television drama. There's some character flaws for sure but so far I'm really enjoying except for the episodes where the fire chief passes away. I was a bit upset with that one. They could've given Hughes a happy ending for a little while!!!! It was excellently executed though as I rarely break down in a regular made for tv drama but I was a sloppy hot mess when he died and even worse for the funeral. Good show so far so I'll stick with it a bit longer.

My absolute all time favourite tv show
owenscharlottem19 December 2023
Station 19 is hands down favourite TV show! There's a reason it's ABC's top rated show! Not only are there gripping incidents that you see the team respond to but you also get a deep insight into each character. The characters are fully fleshed out, so multi-dimensional and with so many different layers to them.

A special shout out has to go to Maya and Carina and their relationship. It is the most beautiful relationship that provides not only incredibly important wlw representation but is also simply a privilege to watch. Danielle Savre and Stefania Spampinato are phenomenal actors and their chemistry is out of this world!

The show covers so many incredibly important topics and does so each time with sensitivity and authenticity.

Station 19 is the best! <3.

Pathetic

Chicago Fire has nothing to worry about with this trash. Unreal. As a Firefighter, I'm Truly embarrassed.

A very entertaining TV show that won my heart
Thally4477 February 2023
Station 19 is without doubt one of the best TV shows I've ever seen. The characters, their stories, their cases as firefighters and paramedics are so entertaining that it had me hooked after a few episodes. All the characters had won my heart, especially Maya and Carina (hurts me so much because they deserve to be happy, please writers, let them be happy and not suffer) and I can't wait too see what's coming in the second part of S6. And to those who say that this TV show is not like the real life, then go watch a documental because a TV show is for entertaining, not showing how exactly is in real life, period.

It Grows On You
jackbenton28 August 2020
A year ago, and me being a former firefighter, I started to watch this show and thought it was unrealistic and not a true portrayal of a real firefighter. But, after the pandemic hit and with limited shows to watch I decided to see why some said the show was good. Well after watching all 3 seasons and just finishing the last episode, I've changed my mind. This is a good show with a good storyline. Technically it may not be as good as Chicago Fire, but it's not far behind. I'm a fine, can't. Wait for season 4.

Love this show!!!
criminal58369-260-718419 December 2023
Shows relationships between firefighters and every day life situations and the diversity of people and conflict resolution. The situations they get into. One of the most entertaining shows I have watched. It has both awesome and heartbreaking moments that firefighters face in the line of duty and managing their lives at home as well. Love that they included Greys Anatomy with their mashups including characters between the two shows. If you love that show this is definitely a must watch! Sad that this will be the last season unfortunately as I seen an article saying that they will be able to make a good ending for the show for the last season.

It's actually good...
isabelletondkar26 October 2018
I didn't expect much, even for a Grey's anatomy spin off, but it's actually good. Station 19 has that fun and breezy vibe mixed with a ton of firefighter stuff. It's absolutely not Chicago Fire, but it has potential. Miranda Bailey makes a lot of appearances throughout the show, which keeps the feeling of a spin off, but it can definitely stand on its own. If you like Grey's, I believe that you can enjoy this. Don't get me wrong, Private Practice is a lot better, but Station 19 is a good Shonda Rhimes production FOR SURE.

Garbage show
punisherd200922 March 2024
If you are the type of person who enjoys watching shows that deviate from their core premise, than this show is for you. I initially started watching this show because, as an EMT, I was curious to see what struggles and trials they portray in a show like this. Instead I got beat over the head with severe virtue signaling and sodomy. I can only take so many sex scenes before I realize the show isn't about firefighting or medical response. That's all just backend filler to the real feature of this show's promotion: sleep around and advocate for liberal causes. Human emotion and sympathy can have a real effect for viewers when mixed with good plot and gripping, selfless action; this show doesn't do that. It panders to particular audiences and is a disrespect to all emergency responders in my personal opinion. Not good TV; wouldn't recommend to anyone I know unless they like to watch shows with pointless sex in them and not much else for substance. Real emotions and experiences felt by real emergency responders is not portrayed in this show accurately at all.

A show that is inclusive of everyone
vhc-1529916 December 2023
I came to this Fandom late, but fortunately I binged watched all six seasons and when the winter break was over finished the season. The chemistry, the writing, the feeling the show gives is one family where you are comfortable being you. The amazing cast is something I've never witnessed on TV ever. The fact ABC wants to cancel such an important show is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. This show has dealt with many important social issues including mental health and was done gracefully and was the realist performance I've seen on TV. The main characters Maya & Carina who are married their incredible chemistry makes you believe and feel the love they have for one another is real. The remaining cast just feel like a group of wonderful friends you want in your life. The writing is the best I've ever seen in a show, believable, sincere and absolutely real. You need to do yourself a favor and wake this amazing show. ##SaveStation19 # #DoNotCancelStation19.

Chicago Fire Wannabee Fails Miserably
LiquidPoetry192124 March 2018
Perhaps because 'Scandal' is coming to an end, and 'Grey's Anatomy' is in its 56th+ season, Shondra Rimes is looking for a new venture to undertake. If she's trying to turn Seattle into what Dick Wolf did with Chicago, 'Station 19' is a COLOSSAL fail.

Not only is the acting abysmal, the storylines are as well. Where 'Chicago Fire' is packed each week with firefighters/paramedics attending to car crashes, gas explosions, building fires, etc., ~ with the occasional romantic/personal situation thrown in, 'Station 19' is exactly the opposite ~ an hour long soap opera with the occasional fire related incident gratuitously worked into the plot line.

Note to Ms. Rimes: Just because you can, really doesn't mean you should. Gave a VERY generous 1* out of 10.

Amazing show
kitkat-9838611 December 2023
This show is so special in the way that it deals with sensitive topics such as mental health, sexuality and racism and so many other topics that desperately need to be talked about more in modern society and all while showing and exploring the lives of first responders all the way from the captain down to proxies. This show doesn't get the credit it deserves and never do the actors, the show has a special place in my heart that no other show has yet given me, the way it handles real life issues in a beautiful way is something that I will never tire of seeing. Especially the lgbtq+ representation it shows its so important for queer storylines to be shown and aired on prime time tv and this show does beautifully especially with the maya and carina relationship. This show is amazing and it's worth the watch.

Top Tier
jbarlament-0570324 December 2023
Excellent drama, will watch for many years to come. The storylines the writers put together do an excellent job of highlighting each individual character's strengths and weaknesses to captivate the audience. Leaving off with season 6, I believe there are many avenues the writers can take this series yet. I believe this to be particularly true for the Marina storyline which has become many viewers favorite characters including my own. The acting in this series is also excellent and the chemistry between characters helps draw the viewers in. I am looking forward to watching this series for many more seasons!

I thought 9.1.1. was bad. This show is much worse. Totally unrealistic and insulting to firefighters.

Entertaining
tovec25 July 2018
I have no problems with this show at all. I've only watched one show about firefighters before though so I'm not really experienced with this kind of show. I found it very entertaining and will be watching season 2. The characters are not extremely likable because we don't get to know them enough, but the cases are exciting enough to keep you on the edge of the seat. It's not a masterpiece but entertaining enough to wanna watch more.

Beautiful
liended28 December 2023
Station 19 is a show with amazing representation. This kind of representation is something you don't see in many other shows. Like: ~ Strong female leading figures, in mostly male dominated workplaces.

~ lgbtqia + ~ very diverse team (black, white,Asian, ....) ~ .... Besides that the show also handles very realistic but hard topics like: ~ abusive parents ~ s**ual assault ~ addiction ~mental health struggles ~ ... The actors and crew are so dedicated to this show and that really shows, the way they portray the characters and topics is sublime.

For me personally the Marina relationship and the chemistry they have is so so beautiful and important to see on television. It shows that I can be myself and that I can be loved.

The storylines have helped me in my personal life and for that I will always be grateful.

I will keep rewatching this show and can't wait to see what's next for this family.

NINETEEN!!!

So bummed
sva72928 March 2018
Wasn't a fan of this show at first, but being a die hard Grey's and Private Practice fan, I've stuck through it. At times there is dialogue and silly music that doesn't match the scene, which is the most annoying thing to me. Little bummed this show isn't up to par. There is some emotion here though. I am still watching the show!

One of the best shows out there
melifangirl11 December 2023
It's so sad ABC gave up on this show because it's so good. Drama, love, family, firefights, friendships, the queer visibily, the black visibility. It is a shame that this show is going foward to a premature ending. There are so much stories that still need to be told.

I'm not going to lie, this show affected on so many lives. Like, can you immagine what it means for a young person see a rapresentation (ex.) of police brutality? These things need to be seen, need to create a discussion about it. Yes, so many shows do that, but Station 19 does it in a way that is never offensive or exaggerated. Station 19 has something no other show has out there in this period: empathy.

One NINETEEN, Always NINETEEN!

Decent show
imanimthompson21 May 2019
Im honestly surprised that this show is getting terrible reviews because I honestly have overtime kinda liked this one. I didn't like Greys Anatomy very much but can see some correlation. I enjoy the heart jumping moments this show has for me.. Particularly the second season. I think the acting is a bit cheesy at times but I've seen many of these actors in different roles and just like them as actors. Also there are some plots that I don't care for but still can be exciting for others. I don't think that I would waste my time writing a disgusting review about something that I don't care for like these other people. That's why I'm trying to defend and give it a chance for others. I give it a 6/10

Are you kidding me?
sonicvoodoo23 March 2018
I NEVER write reviews. I like sappy melodramas. I don't expect much from network TV and settle for most anything when I'm bored. All this being said, this series is just plain awful/terrible. I find it absolutely incredible that ANYONE would invest time and money and then decide to air this junk. It really baffles me.
