A rare beauty

Within Shark Vortex, Greg Skomal and Joe Remeiro head to the Gulf Stream – a warm and swift Atlantic ocean current that originates in the Gulf of Mexico and stretches to the tip of Florida – to study how three different types of sharks work in the ever changing waters. Focusing on mako sharks, great whites and porbeagles, Shark Vortex brings to the screen new ground breaking video footage, research and answers that we never knew before.

This documentary aired during Discovery Shark Week in 2017, helps bring to life three of the fastest sharks in the oceans, showing how the live in both warm and cold currents – something that isn't common amongst sharks at all. The research that they find whilst studying these beautiful creates has never been found out before, and with some never seen before footage of mako sharks, this is a brilliant documentary.

The narrator is brilliant, the researchers do a stunning job, and the editing team have all helped make this into one of the rare perfect documentaries that Shark Week airs. It's rare to come across a beautiful documentary such a Shark Vortex, but I'm definitely glad I came across this one.

Perfect for any shark lover out there. I definitely recommend this one for anyone who adores sharks, or any budding shark researchers.
