This movie stinks of desperation and plagiarism! Tries waaaay too hard at being different but is a complete ripoff of The Strangers and Tragedy Girls! I like Brea Grant cuz she's basically a B movie scream queen for the new age but the rest of the surrounding characters and actors suck!

Anyone who was a part of this movie should be ashamed. No chemistry between any of the characters. HORRIBLE dialog and no attention to detail. I want my $1.50 back.

'Bad Apples' drew me into seeing it, with a cool poster/cover, an slightly intriguing but very derivative premise and as someone with a general appreciation for horror. That it was low-budget, which from frequent personal experience is rarely a good sign due to that there are so many poor ones out there, made me though apprehensive.

It is sadly however yet another film seen recently, hence some reiteration because the exact same strengths and flaws those films are present here, that to me was incredibly disappointing considering its potential which it doesn't do anywhere near enough with. 'Bad Apples' is terrible, with a plethora of problems (huge ones too) and doesn't do enough with its potential, which was hardly small. There is next to nothing to recommend and it is a sleeper.

Lets start with the sole positive. The scenery is atmospheric and spooky.

Unfortunately, it is not done justice by the rather direct to video schlocky way it's shot and edited, it was very clear that the film was made in a rush with no care or enthusiasm.

Going on further to the negatives, the story does feel paper thin, disjointed and over-stretched and some of it feels vague, under-explained in the last third where the film especially became duller, more predictable, more senseless and less scary. Too many characters are too sketchy and with nowhere near enough to make one want to endear to them. Their annoying and illogical decision making and behaviours frustrates.

Making the film feel bland and forgettable with not enough heart put into it. The effects are ropy at best, the sound quality is obvious and utilised cheaply (being too loud in the build ups and people's reactions) and it's best not mentioning the uniformly lumbering and histrionic acting.

Dialogue can be stilted and rambling, with lots of clichés and no depth whatsoever, while the pace goes to a standstill very quickly and drags on forever with very little going on worth caring about, never recovering. Found too many the supposedly shocking moments not surprising or scary and the supposedly creepy atmosphere dreary, due to the excessive obviousness, a lot of dumb and vague moments and explanations and the lack of tension and suspense. Would not have minded the lack of originality (the film is extremely derivative and in a dumbed and watered down way) if the story and atmosphere were at least alright in execution, in reality they were both dreadfully done. Not to mention a whole novel's worth of inconsistencies and continuity errors.

A lot of 'Bad Apples' has underdeveloped plot elements and often nonsensical and confusing character motivations, while too many of the things to make you jump or shocked are far from creative or scary and are pretty tame. The ending makes the film finish on an incomplete and confused whimper.

There is not enough threat here and what there is of it tends to be used poorly, it is completely unimaginative and more odd than creepy, completely failing to show any sense of horror. Some badly sagging momentum too. The direction is leaden, inexperience seems to be all over the film, and the music doesn't really fit.

For fans of low budget trash, in sure they will welcome this, but without giving anything away, it's obvious from the first few seconds of the opening scene, that this film was :- Badly shot, filmed on a budget, with terrible music to boot. The reason I say about feeling like your intelligence has been insulted, is because, the cover art for this film looks intriguing. However, I will save you the wasted time you would have spent enduring the pain of this film. Bad cinematography, bad dialogue, bad accompanying music, this film is just plain awful, I'm sorry to say.

A young couple comes to a small town, where the husband get a job working in a hospital. The wife which you instantly hate or dislike works home, at the same time a horrible murders takes place in this small town by two masked killers. Bad Apples is just your tipical B-horror movie with average acting (I give them that. Altough you may get the idea that some of the actors are crazy-convervative Christians), but the script is just bad, and that's what destroys the film.

There's not really anything redeeming about this low budget horror movie. The budget isn't even the issue here, it was just the complete ineptitude of whoever was behind this mess. The camera angles suck, the audio is HORRIBLE and muffled through all the dialogue, the editing is poor...someone with talent could have done far better with what was available here.

The entire movie is two girls with masks going around killing people. There's no actual plot that I could detect. The way the deaths are set up, which is the bulk of the movie, had no suspense or build up and little to no gore affects. Just screaming and fake looking blood. Then some boring unimportant dialogue till it repeats itself. Then at the end they literally just blurt out the entire plot over around 5 minutes and rap it up with an anti-climactic ending.

The people behind this movie simply have no talent and no imagination. Boring, lame, and pointless.

One of the worst movies I've ever watched. It was boring as hell, they dragged every torturous scene out forever, watched one part for minutes and the actress literally didn't move. 2018 hasn't exactly been a premium year for horror's but this is the worst so far by a mile.

When you first start watching this movie, you can tell its going to be a painful ride. the audio is poor...the attacks by the "girls" are like going back in time, to watching the old rocky films, were blows never touched. the editing is poor with it aswell, example the actress in is the bath when her husband comes home, clearly you see her wearing a flesh coloured bra in the bath. no hints or spoilers, just wait till you find it in a bargain basket of cheap dvds in a couple of weeks

I think Bad Apples is a great time and I recommend! I enjoyed the opening, which gave way for the rest of the movie to occur. The main couple was very likable and I believed all of their interactions. They had great onscreen chemistry and made me laugh quite a few times! Keeping the girls in the masks but seeing them in action was something I loved. It kept a mystery to them throughout. I think the dialogue was great. The kills were fun. And the special surprise gore effect at the end was AWESOME!! I won't spoil that part ;) I also enjoyed how the movie wrapped up. It gave a very urban legends type feel of "did you ever hear the story...". Plus is leaves the door open for another film which I wouldn't mind at all. Long story short, I think if you take the film for what it is; a fun little horror flick, then you won't be disappointed! HaPpY eArLy HaLLoWeEn!

A home invasion movie with a few fresh ideas.

I enjoyed the girls in the masks, I liked how they would cock their head to one side, it was very unnerving. The masks were great and how they had them on in school was creepy.

I liked the characters and the concept of the movie. I don't think it's a GREAT movie but it's not bad and with Halloween coming up it's defiantly one to watch.

This movie was horrible. Don't waste your time watching this awful, lame ass movie. This movie has to go down in history as one of the worst horror movies ever.

This is the worst garbage I've ever seen and this is coming from a person who owns Sleepaway Camp because I enjoy a good C movie that doesn't take itself too seriously. This movie was the worst piece of crap I could ever imagine. Is it a middle school student project or is every actor's secret the fact they have Downs? I guess we'll never know. Perhaps the director is a chihuahua dressed in a suit pretending to know what's happening? It's all a mystery. Don't fall into the trap of "I like bad scary movies so this will be fun." You'll hate yourself in the morning. Trust me.

-Dialogue killed me, the two main actors had no chemistry -Every plot point was undeveloped -The two serial killers killed for no reason, so its hard to actually care. -The last 15 minutes belongs in a Razzy hall of fame -I feel sorry for the people that worked in this project, its not something to put on your resume.

Why the hell doesn't anyone have a light on in their house in this movie? So many lapses in logic and reality along the way what could have been a stylish, if derivative movie ends up being a load of trash. Skip it, there's better out there.

An hour plus of my life that I will never get back. I have seen better productions in Junior High School. Shame on Richard for even accepting the role as principal, he can't be that hard-up. More than disappointing!

This movie is not the worst of 2018 or any era for that matter, there are FAR worse movies around. A very basic home invasion flick with average acting and average plot. One thing that makes this averagefest rise above all the garbage that I have watched lately, is the twins. They don't talk but they look actually interesting. There is something that could have been developed for a better movie. Well, it is what it is. The ending exposition is awful though and the girl telling the story is.. I wish to all that is holy she will never act again. The last 10 minutes are HELL.

What a snooze fest, no clear plot.. gore wasn't even that good because it was so low budget.. unsatisfying ending. I usually adore both good and bad horror but with with I just want my hour and change back. It wasn't scary even.

Watching this movie. I thought a 5.3 average review was good for a horror. I kept watching and I can't believe that actual random people voted this movie anything but a 1, 2 or 3. If you read the user reviews you will see everyone that cared to write one actually agrees.

This movie is just not good. The overall premise is - there are these psychopathic girls killing people that won't open their door on Halloween - but the execution here falls flat. For some reason, most of the movie is shot with the lights off in every house they're in. The main character is stabbed in the back at one point, but it doesn't affect her at all until they wanted to shoot a scene where she gets blood on the wall - then she can barely walk. The last 12 minutes or so seem to be something they shot extra because the movie wasn't long enough. The one thing they did well was put the creepy masks in the poster - otherwise I'd have never watched this one.

I would give this movie zero stars if I could.

Unfortunately, there were so many flaws.

I love that one person wrote and directed this movie, however, everything went wrong.

Let me start with, the main character was wearing a bra while taking a bath...??

The main character also seemed perfectly fine after being stabbed in the stomach and the back. I mean, OUCH! I would be crying for sure.

Watch and see for yourself. Please make sure that at least some of the movie seems realistic.

I feel like if you're going to make a movie, try to perfect it just a ittle bit.
