Here we have the music video for the song "Doggy Dogg World" by Snoop Dogg. This runs for slightly under 6 minutes and the artist I just mentioend was in his early 20s back then and now that this music video has its 25th anniversary he is getting closer to 50. But nothing ha changed really in terms of his style and approach to music I'd say. I am not an expert on Snoop Dogg, but I have seen some stuff from him and it feels very similar. Apart from that, there was not as much Snoop Dogg in this one as you might have guessed. But the cast list already makes it very obvious there are many many other artists featured in here and each and every one of them basically gets his moment in the spotlight as we can read his name on screen. Or I should say his character's name. Most of the artists featured in here are still alive today, some at a pretty old age, well Fred Berry is gone though. Anyway, Snoop Dogg got a pretty renowned cast here: Pam Grier, Fred Williamson, Dr. Dre to only name a few and Dr. Dre is by the way also one of the directors who made this. The action takes place in some pretty dubious establishment and with Snnoop Dogg being at teh center of it all I am not 100% sure the fog in here is really all just artificial or some of it natural. You know what I mean. Okay what else can I say about this one. Oh yeah, it won an MTV Video Music Award back in the day. Must have been a relatively weak year. Sorry, I can't really be more positive on this one all in all, even if I think Dr. Dre is very talented. As for the Dogg I am not so sure. Still I shall only judge this one music video here and not everything else. So it is a thumbs-down from me. Not recommended unless you really dig the Dogg and are curious about his earlier works. He's really been part of the industry for such a long time.
