Archived newspapers report on an off-camera incident that (literally) shocked the show's performers. A young musician named Terry Fuller, with an electric guitar strapped around his neck, grasped a microphone to adjust it prior to his performance, completing an electrical circuit. The force of the electrical bolt sent the musician reeling backwards into a drum set. Off camera, a quick-thinking production crew member named Mike Williams, pulled the microphone cord out of the musician's hands and broke the circuit. Fortunately, the program featured Dr. Art Ulene from NBC's Family Doctor segment, who treated the musician. A lifesquad was summoned but Fuller recovered enough to join his group for one set on the Braun show.
