“Hearthstone” game director Ben Brode announced on Friday that he’s leaving the company, after working at Blizzard for 15 years and on the online game for a decade. Today marks his last day.
“After 15 years at Blizzard and almost 10 years working on ‘Hearthstone,’ I have made the incredibly difficult decision to embark on a new journey,” Brode wrote in a post in the official forums for the game. “Man, that was a hard sentence to type.”
Brode wrote in his farewell note that he’s going to help start a new company. “We’ll probably make games, but we haven’t figured anything else out, yet,” he said. “I’m looking forward to designing, programming, and actually creating things again.”
