Imperfect but a broad perspective

Warning: Spoilers
It took me rather a long period to start watching it. The movie present us a lively picture of some elderly people in rural Chinese areas on the horns of a dilemma in which they either cling to their children on shame and dishonour or get forced into a nursing house where the rest of their lives would be spent. Having struggled to bring up her 6 kids but ended up without a roof over her head, grandma committed suicide in the end and the funeral was bizarrely filled with fun and laughter. Don't know this tragedy comes from poverty, education wrongdoing or a gap between generations. It seems to live is a sin whereas to die a relief in some case.
