- TriviaThis was the last episode to feature the original opening theme song and original harmonica instrumental closing theme song. It was also the final episode to feature the "Funky Chimes" funding closing bumper. The US Department of Education Service stopped funding Sesame Street until 2002. This was also the final episode to be funded by The Ford Foundation and the Carnegie Corporation of New York. Future episodes will now have Calypso-style version of the show's theme song, And a new bumper called "Coming Soon on Sesame Street".
