The whole video is a parody of James Bond films, including references such as the jet pack (Thunderball) and two of the featured girls look like they might be references to Bambi and Thumper (Diamonds Are Forever). An Aston Martin DB5 also features heavily - Bond frequently drove Aston Martins, and originally drove a DB5 in Goldfinger.

After the release of the music video, the mass media in newspapers and TV at those times started to point Williams as candidate to be the next James Bond, when the then actual Bond (Pierce Brosnan) left the franchise. To stop all the rumors, Williams told in Radio 1, "I've never asked or wanted to play James Bond, I did the Millennium video as a pastiche and I left it there."
