Why does this exist? It's the most lazy thing I've ever seen Disney do, and THAT'S saying something. I understand that they need to air something at 2:30 a.m. no one will watch, but why this?

Whenever I see popular YouTubers like Jacksepticeye and Markiplier, everyone who has to humiliate themself by playing Fortnite on TV, and DanTDM, it just makes me sad. All of them are good people and make entertaining videos, but what the heck? You put your name on a TV show, which will be the only show on most of their resume, and the show sucks. Why anyone would watch this over the YouTubers' channels I have no idea. Go watch their vids, but NEVER watch this.

The show is just one big clip video and the videos aren't new the creators just see whats popular on their channels and put it on their tv show just watch the actual videos on the respective channels.

I almost live on YouTube right now, and this show just... Boggles me. For one, I didn't know it existed until about a half an hour ago. One episode later, I am simultaneously impressed and confused. Let me explain why.

The idea itself is ingenious in its own way. I am right smack in the middle of the demographic of this show, though it claims to be for "general audiences". I am almost entirely sure that this show targets teenagers and young adults, because no one else watches YouTubers like these. Jacksepticeye? Seriously? On a show for "general audiences?" Nope. But that's part of why this show's idea IS ingenious. Everything is CENSORED. No curse words, no nasty subjects, just YouTubers and games. And that on its own is a really good idea.

But this is also where its problems arise. Since everything is censored, some of the fun is taken out of it. In their effort to make a show for "general audiences", they take away some of the spirit of these YouTubers and add in a bunch of Disney awkwardness. I found myself frequently cringing at this show because of the strange editing and censorship. I would be sitting down, enjoying myself and the videos themselves, but soon find myself sighing at the awful, cringey editing that they use to appeal to the "general audiences". It. Sucks. And while it is tolerable, that doesn't mean that it's cool or funny.

It's cool seeing YouTubers on TV, but they should stick to YouTube and other video platforms. The editing is obnoxious and the videos that are shown are easier to watch where they were originally shown. This show takes away a lot of the personality of the gamers and only exists to cash in on the popularity of the games and YouTubers. If you want to watch these guys where they're best go to their channels

Disney XD was a channel that contained childhood shows such as zeke and Luther lab rats gravity falls etc but Disney XD is using this as an excuse to be lazy here's why: Stolen footage They waste time by repeating random quotes like I don't need a coconut they think there funny but good news this is the third season meaning it being Disney only one more year until they have to come out with another sitcom Disney XD if u read this pls go back to the way I were before no one likes this lazy excuse for a show

This show is pretty much if a 12 year old who had unlimited access to a soundboard made a compilation video of a bunch of unrelated let's plays. Heavily edited, and these are let's players that are known for not being kid friendly with their content (in terms of swearing and innuendos), so of course every swear is replaced with an obnoxious sound effect. Tbh it feels like a spit in the face for let's players who do their hardest to put these videos out just to have someone be piggybacking off of them to make a TV show that even my nephew finds annoying.

I once watched an extensive, detailed documentary on the life of Adolf Hitler. From the days of a struggling artist, to the rise as the leader for the Nazi party. Looking into the dark, soulless eyes of a man who held all political power of Germany under his thumb, I could only stare in pure shock as I looked on at pure, tainted evil at its worst.

Then I watched Player Select.

Not a fan.

One star.

This show is my nemesis. I want it to be off the air immediately. It contributes nothing to society. Please watch a youtube video. It is better. This show airs after everything I love (DuckTales, which is DISNEY XD's magnum opus). I'm begging anyone reading this with the remotest influence over Player Select - please remove this!

I literally made an account just to give this show a bad review, I hate seeing the ads for this show, they're so annoying, the show looks boring, cringeworthy, and lame. And come on, literally who actually watches this show? Please just get rid of it. Ugh

Normally my parents make me watch YouTube Kids, but this lets me get around it and watch videos! Also some good edits, but for some reason they kinda stopped airing. Anyway, you should watch it!

I see a lot of people complaining here, and admittedly, things could be better. Season One was quite entertaining and it was obvious that the people on there were having fun. Season Two and Three...well, I'm guessing the studio made them change up some of the gamers, and most of them don't have much of a personality. They focus too much now on Fortnite as well (and who cares if Lachlan can beat it while being limited to Legendary skins and Equipment, show us a challenge, do it in default). I just watched an episode where Pokimane played some game (Rumble something?) but she didn't tell us what she was doing or why and it's hard to root for someone (and boring) when you don't know what their goal is. And kill all the animations, they're corny and they take away from the show. Face it, we watch this show for 1) to see interesting and new games that we might not know about, and 2) the personality of the presenters. Right now, Jack Septiceye is about the only thing that keeps bringing me back to the show. That being said, I would like to see this show continue, but they definitely have some bugs to work out,.

Kids learn zero positivity from this so called show. It's better to throw the TV out the window rather than watch this pathetic excuse of entertainment. Do not let your kids watch this.

Polaris player select is just not a great show and the edits and the choice of videos are terrible and the edits just makes the videos they show even worse. also I hate it whenever this is the only show on Disney XD. this show is just terrible

Don't even play relative video games and is over the top corny, no kid wants to watch this

Adding all these memes and stuff just makes it hard to watch. Then whoever edits it just really sits there and says "yes this is a good episode to post" like no. It makes it cringey to watch. All these edits just ruins the quality of the video and it's just irrelevant in general.

WORST SHOW EVER! this show is not for kids dont let your children be exposed to this garbage or they will be addicted to it forever! Trust me my brother already is! No wonder why they want people on google rating this because they know all the reviews they will get will be garbage! Anyway what im saying is DO NOT let your children watch this show! This show is NOT General audiences AT ALL! ITS Rated R! Dont believe the lies! They creators are telling you! Ridiculous, this show should be banned from TV and they should be sued! I will sue the creator one day!

My younger brother watches this show and everytime he is done watching it he acts crazy, he is not him self. What I mean is that he doesn't listen, he wants to do what HE wants. It sounds like a normal child, but my brother is 8, almost 9, that is not how MY brother acts. I honestly liked it better with the players being on youtube. This show is just too much and gets children crazy and out of their minds more than usual.

This show is awful I bet these gamers are going to be living in there parents basement for rest of there lives. Ridiculous!

Fun way of watching and discovering successful YouTubers from the comfort of your tv. Funny editing style as well.

'Polaris: Player Select' is a show on Disney XD in which they take videos from popular gaming content creators on Youtube and add their own edits. Not only is this uninspired, but they are lazy within their edits and at times can just feel like copyright infringement.

The show's main aim is to make entertaining content by featuring content creators that have already been established as forces of the YouTube gaming community. As much as I'd like to imagine the YouTubers have free reign over the content put on the show, I can't because the contract deals that are signed before the creators are put on the show most likely boil down to, "We put clips of your videos on the show, you get money." This means that the creators behind Player Select have to make their own edits. Unfortunately, the creators don't have the best sense of humor.

The humor on the show is mainly taking a person saying something, taking that sentence out of context, photo-shopping that persons face onto the face of an actor in a piece of stock footage, and having said stock footage play something that will also apply to what the person says.

For example, Lachlan, one of the YouTubers on the show, at one point says, "I don't think it's going to fit." The show then cuts to him saying it again, but instead it is of a person trying on a t-shirt saying the same thing. It is repetitive and hearing somebody say something twice in the exact same way gets irritating a couple times. And the show does this more than a couple times.

The narrator also gets irritating. Every so often, a narrator will say something like, "You win!". The unfortunate part is that they use the same clip of him saying, "You win!". Which gets not just irritating, but infuriatingly annoying because the narrator also has a reverb/echo effect EVERY SINGLE TIME he says something. ANYTHING. They DO NOT turn it off.

Overall, the show feels like an attempt to gain money through content creators that anyone under 14 would know. It is a blatant attempt to be #relatable with the fellow kids watching Disney XD. And although it has some good moments, it is, at all times, severely outweighed but the constant annoyances that show puts in it's pwn way.

Would not recommend.

Player Select is a show that makes youtubers looks likes fools worst of all they are on ALMOST ALL YEAR due to the fact no talent is required for this show because they plagiarize the youtubers and tons of inappropriate images.This show lies about it in fact they try and say IT EVERY time in their bad promos i bet they do not Give credit at all to the PICTURES THEY just smother youtubers faces in for almost 15 minutes of the time of this show...This show cant be the general audience rating they claim it is they show people hurting themselves in the games and several violence sequences even in their pictures this show needs to have a cancellation because this is just not even a show its a plagiarism show that's gone on for almost 4 years

Whomever did the editing on this show, please find a new career. To say it's cringe worthy would be the understatement of the century. Like everyone else said, these YouTubers are sooo much more entertaining in the actual vids these clips we're cut from. Disney, stop being the greediest company in the world. I've reached the point where, if is Disney is involved, i just won't watch at all.
