I watched this movie without any expectation. But found that it is a well made movie. The expertise of the director vinayan is visible throughout the movie. It is not biopic, But mostly based on kalabhavan Manis real life experience and also vinayan's own experience in Malayalam film industry . We should be thankful to Vinayan for taking this effort which came out as the biggest tribute to Late Mani. Recommend to watch the unknown aspects of Manis life.

Good biopic

"Entertaining+inspiring" that is the one word summary which can be given to this movie. Good biographies are scarce in Malayalam Industry so this movie is a surprise from director Vinayan to make such a quality movie. All the actors played their roles well , most of the comedy scenes were good and the emotional scenes very especially good.

Movie of a true legend. Not really cared about the financial success of the film. All malayaalees wud see the movie even though the story is known before. That's how Mani chettan continues to stay in our hearts.
The opinion of media is truly theirs alone and not from the hearts of Malayaalees.
This movie as a tribute to Manichettan. I couldn't believe he left us so early . God may give peace to the great performer.
They've changed name in the movie to fictional names. Cause we can't use real names if it is a biographical fictional film.
Highly recommended to watch, if you wanna know about the legend.

Chalakkudykkaran Changathy (Friend from Chalakudy) again proves that biopics cannot be made by everybody even as Vinayan aims high here with the life and times of Kalabhavan Mani and turns his story into a lecture on what alcoholism and inferiority complex can do to you, garnished with his typical lacklustre style and crass comedy that is the hallmark of Mani and his work in general. TN.
