The Vanderbilt Museum, which serves as a stand-in as Falcone's Miami Compound, is a rare example of a location shoot chosen outside of the Thirty-Mile Zone (Studio Zone) of New York City. If a film or TV show is shot outside this zone, the studio is responsible for covering the expenses of cast and crew. In order to keep productions cost down, studios avoid this practice unless absolutely necessary.
In the opening sequence as Ra's is carried toward the Lazarus Pit, there is a metal sculpted Dragon Head in the foreground.
