In its 15th series now 'Strictly' doesn't feel half as tired as 'The X Factor' does, and it's a joy to see it back.
Of course sadly between series we have lost original host Sir Bruce Forsyth, and there was a fitting tribute to the legendary entertainer that was very moving.
The show must go on though, and the pairings between celebs (and the others that you only vaguely know) and pro dancers throws up the usual mix of predictability and some shocks.
It's all good fun though, and a welcome return for the much loved show.
