Road trip episodes of comedies often bring out the best in characters as they push their boundaries and force them out of their element. Taking on that premise tonight we got the best episode so far of Back as we learned about affairs and saw the Andrew and Steven dynamic at its best yet. Instead of constant one-liners between the two we saw a more nuanced relationship on display.

Delicious dark humour.

Andrew and Stephen head out on a trip, to visit the pub's suppliers, leaving Geoff in charge at the pub, with some ideas to take the pub back for the 1970's.
I think this was my favourite episode so far, I somehow felt like I was getting to know the characters a whole lot better. Andrew's motives seem to be getting more and more visible, he really is a devious so and so, but somehow charming. Andrew is also starting to lead Andrew into his game, just what is he up to?
Geoff is slowly becoming a favourite character, he is incredibly funny, he plays a very similar character in Lee Mack's Semi Detached, but he's excellent.
Best so far for me,
Great, 8/10.
