During the review of Sergeant Goff's actions a Corporal Mankowitz is mentioned as a member of his unit. A picture of Goff shows him to be a member of the US Army's 3rd Special Forces Group, the minimum rank for any Special forces unit in the US Army is E-5 (three stripe Sergeant).
Agent Wells says that ketamine "was a rare designer drug back in 2001". In fact, ketamine was first synthesized in 1962, gained FDA approval in 1970, and become a club drug in the 1990s.
When Sergeant Goff's widow is speaking to Aaron and Emily about her husband's military past, she states that her husband was sent to Kandahar to fight ISIL. Kirkman had already stated he had died in Operation Enduring Freedom, which took part primarily in Afghanistan, where Kandahar is located as well as Somalia, the Philippines, and the Sahara. ISIL was never in these locations, as the IL stands for Iraq and Levant, the Levant being a region covering Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine and Syria. Sergeant Groff would have been fighting the Taliban and Al-Quaeda instead.
