Best Episode in the series. Brilliant Writing
Harun_Karali8 February 2018
Who would have thought a series about magic is better off without it. This series has always had a knack for surprises and this episode the series comes full circle with a head spinning twist that would give the Tasmanian Devil a run for his money. I think it's fair to say that the highlight of the episode was Q and Eliot's adventure through Fillory. Sad, funny and surprisingly addicting this season is proof of the potential that lies in this series. Give the writers a raise, they bloody earned it. Yes I know it's adapted from the Novel(Which now I intend to read), but it's not easy to put something on paper on to the silver screen(or in this case, a TV screen). How many good adaptions can you think of? I really hope that SYFY keeps this series on air for many seasons to come(with the same writers of course). I can see so much happening in future seasons(fingers crossed).

Most Beautiful Episode So Far.
danielk19979 February 2018
I have never done a review on a series before, but this episode deserves some love. The scene with Q and Eliot´s adventure was so beautiful and well written, that I had to write something down to show some love for the writing and the acting that was done to make this episode happen. I hope the series keeps on making these kinds of episodes. So, if you like beautiful and emotional scenes with a bit of a plot twist, then this is an episode for you.

Best Episode! Still so floored by it
taika-485739 February 2018
I have never rated or reviewed an episode before but this one deserves all the praises. I love it, it was beautiful, witty and well made. I will buy this season when it comes out. Every episode has been increasing since the start of season 3, i think this season they have really found their muse and managed to creatively pulled it off. While its only half way there i can tell this season is going to be the best!

This episode ALWAYS leaves me in tears. The entire sequence between Q and Elliot is so beautiful in every way--the filming, the directing, the acting. Truly my favorite episode of the entire series to date.

Most beautiful short story of the series.
joey3466621 February 2018
I stopped watching Magicians after season 2 but now Im very glad that I had return to this show. This was the most beautiful episode of the series. Story of Quentin and Eliot was so epic! I just wish to see more episodes so briliant like this.

A must watch episode.

It is always a wonder to me how much story can be told with almost no dialogue. A truly well written episode.

Best Magicians Episode : A beautiful tale
xxcnpxx18 February 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I've been watching series for 16 years and never wrote a review, but this episode deserves it. First I read the books, which I love, then I start watching the series, which is different, but I also like. This is the best episode where you can trully see the conjuction between the charm of the books and the elegant touch of the series. The plot on the scene between Q and Eliot is purely perfect, it's like life. They have a mission, but in the meantime of that mission, they start living their lives, where they forget about their other "real world" problems. The result: A very powerful Déjà vu where you feel in your couch the same they feel on the screen: love.

A Lifetime of Love in 1 Episode
Kolorgasm28 May 2018
I can't describe how much I love this episode. I'm glad to see that it's the season's highest rated episode. The Magicians should write more episodes like this. Ever since that threesome with Margo, Eliot and Q on Season 1, I just had a feeling that is not going to be the last, and I can't believe, for once in my life, I was right! It's been fun to watch these crazy misfits go on their separate adventures, which the usual pairs and partners in crime but and seeing Eliot and Q pair up for an adventure of their own warmed my heart in so many ways. I love how this episode explores love in all forms which is not that common in fantasy shows. Seeing Eliot and Q live out their lives with a family of their own in a separate timeline deserves a lot of praise and recognition; it was also unbelievably insane! (Who lives out their whole life arranging mosaic? That has to drive you nuts!). Hopefully, this is not the last we see of Eliot and Q together.

This episode made me cry...
jakelawless1 February 2020
I am a full grown man, and I never cry, but the scene with Elliot and Q was so damn well done that I actually shed a tear out of its sheer beauty and portrayal, although the scene was so short. Regardless, this episode remains of of my favorites in the entire series, and I bet many of you will agree with me.

Best Episode So Far
avidmom937 May 2018
Warning: Spoilers
This show is incredible and has a very special way of getting better with each episode. This episode goes above and beyond though. This season is choke full of really powerful and emotional episodes with great lines. But in this episode (Spoilers!) we get to see some pretty extreme character development, especially in the relationship between Q and Eliot. Watching them complete this level of the quest and building a life together, separate from all outside influences and and distractions was beautiful. You know that going forward, this will change a lot of things because now their loyalties above all else, lie with each other. The conversations between Alice and Julia was wonderful to watch. And it was so amazing to find out that Persephone bestowed Goddess level magic to Julia, who is arguably the greatest all around character on the show. Her story has been massive and I can't wait to see what she does with this magic she's been nurturing. Now Margo may not be a warrior like Kady but she is hands down the most savage and strongest character on the show. Seeing her dealing with Fillory on her own, while having to contend with the machinations of the Fairy Queen, Prince Ess, a arranged marriage, an assassination and trying to defy death and time to save Q and Eliot. She certainly had a lot going on this episode and she dealt with it all in true Margo fashion. With strength and extremely savage lines that make you have so much respect for her. Even when Margo is vulnerable she still has so much strength. She is definitely the strongest and most outspoken female character I've ever seen on TV or in a film. This episode was truly special and is a big reason I recommend this show to everybody.

Best episode of the season
ganymedes198530 June 2019
All the feels! Wonderful to watch! Although the type of this story isn't actually very rare, the way it's shown is unconventional, and is pretty much exclusively reserved for a very open minded sci-fi type show.

The Mosaic: best storyline of the whole series
lisannebraat3 June 2020
I have also never reviewed an episode before, but I just need to talk about this episode. This episode is just everything I love about The Magicians. It is amazing how they show this whole life of Quintin and Elliot at the mosaic, very cinematic, but the best part for me are the things that are not said or addressed. I leaves so much to the imagination and sets up everything in this relationship for the following seasons. I just keep rewatching parts of this episode, I can't stop. It makes me sad and happy at the same time.

The Antithesis of Toxic Masculinity We All Need
wildernessbarbie2 January 2022
First, I just finished binge watching the entire series (again). This episode is one of my favorite episodes of any TV show, ever.

It feels like an absolute gift to be allowed to watch the development of the friendship, respect and love between Eliot and Quentin. We get tiny, precious glimpses of their triumphs, their struggles, their heartaches, and successes together, and eventually, like all great love stories, apart.

Seeing two characters we love discover their love for each other and getting to see how that plays out is simply brilliant. That it's not played off as some big "OMG! LOOK! THEY'RE HAVING A HOMOSEXUAL RELATIONSHIP!!!" as some sort of token, or ratings boosting catering to LGBTQIA+ demographic, and rather just about two humans in an incredible circumstance, falling in love till the end is so beautiful in a way we all need so much more of.

Every time after this where there is a scene with Eliot and Quentin, you can just see how deeply this quest has impacted each of them, and the end of season 4 with Eliot and the fire and the peach... damn. Superb acting by Hale Appleman, and Jason Ralph's smile was worth waiting four damn seasons for.

I love that The Magicians has created not just one, but multiple realities where homophobia simply doesn't exist in their current lives, where nobody struggles with who they love because of their gender, just because of regular complications like anybody else. It's like the fantasy version of Schitts Creek.

Bravo to script writers Sera Gamble, John McNamara, and Mike Moore for this episode. It's perfection. The only thing "wrong" with it is the rest of the character's storylines in this episode can't hope to hold a candle to this one, but I think they'd be OK with that.

So good.
jamesmaybrick7 June 2020
This episode...I am writing this several months after having seen it. It one of those rare episodes that comes along and just blows away what's usually expected from the show. The show is usually delightfully daft and cheesy. This episode is just beautiful and heartbreaking. Amazing stuff.

Good episode but not the best
janreinacher13 March 2022
I was hyped to watch the episode that everyone rated so highly (probably shouldn't have looked up the ratings ahead of time), but honestly it wasn't nearly my favorite episode even in the third season so far.

A great but overrated episode
jackDee-5656520 May 2021
I thought the episode was great but I for sure enjoyed other episodes more than this one, yeah I did like Elliot and Quentin time travel part but overall I don't think it was the best thing ever to happen on the show.
