Come on
Headturner17 April 2022
This is better than a overall 6! Shows that are in reality closer to a 5-6 are getting overall 8 and higher. I like Whitehall in some things and not in others. For instance Fresh Meat. He was good in parts and others annoying. He does come across rather annoying in this but at least it's a not in your face, I'm so posh like F. M. Any ways I thought it was a decent little thriller series. Better than 80% of most the new stuff released recently. I haven't seen Rosie Perez in years! Come to think of it I don't know if there was anything after Pretty Woman but I've always liked her and she does a great job in this. In fact she pretty much caries the entire series I had forgotten how funny she can be and she hasn't changed at all. Judging that there is only 7 ratings this must not have had much exposure. I found it searching on Tubi last night and watched both seasons. Don't know how much help this review wlll be since obviously no one's heard about this but I say watch it if you do come across it!

Not hilarious but worth a look.

Warning: Spoilers
I was surprised to read a review which demonised this comedy because people die in it. There have always been some comedies that take crime and make fun of it. Arsenic and Old Lace for example wasn't without the odd murder. Now on to the comedy. It's not hilarious but does have humour in it. Some of the characters are likely to gain substance. It's not bad. Worth a look in my view.

Quite amusing

I am not normally a fan of UK comedy made for TV that is shown on SKY. I normally switch a programme off it it fails to make me laugh at some point, normally after 10 minutes. Recent comedy programmes on TV, especially some of the remakes of classic comedy classics should have not been done, the classics should have been left alone.

This programme is original albeit Jack Whitehall's tribute to 1980's movies as he stated in a recent interview on TV.

I am not a fan of Jack's comedy but this did amuse me and I did laugh and have seen two episodes so far. I will watch the rest of the series to see how it develops.

Going downhill?

First episode really whetted my appetite - I thought this was the start of something good......but now by episode 4 I'm getting an increasing feeling of being let down. The episodes aren't developing anything in particular and what's this? Only 30 minutes? This should be in 45 or 60 minute chunks. It looks and feels like a high quality production in everything but content. I'm a great fan of Jack Whitehall's TV stuff, but this should have been a crowing glory but seems to have failed.....I'll watch the rest just to see if it gets good again....can't see how though.

Not Jack Whitehall's finest work but quite entertaining.

To be honest, I was expecting a comedy in the line of Bad Education, so I was a little put off by the slow-going first episode, but did it get better with time !

By the end of the second episode I was hooked. The story, about a son learning about his father's true business, is nothing new but it is well written and goes forward. The dialogs are ok and it manages to avoid a lot of cliches that find places in other recent tv shows.

I don't usually leave reviews but I felt obligated to balances the mixed reviews here.

In conclusion, probably not the humour for everyone but perfect mix of story and style !

Appalling garbage

Warning: Spoilers
This is supposed to be a comedy, so viewers might be a bit taken aback by the body count in the very first episode. Two are shot to death, with brains being splattered over the wall, one is tortured and dismembered, and another has a plastic bag put over his head and his skull smashed with a lump hammer. Add to this a group of ISIS terrorists going around London murdering people and you may wonder why it is classed as a comedy. In addition the awful performance of Jack Whitehall who has absolutely no presence, no charisma and no timing, and who is as about as amusing as a compound fracture, and you can only categorise this as complete dross.

I didn't like it at all

It's bad. I don't know why they put money in something like this. The main actress (Rosie Perez) looks like a grandma here. I was shocked the first time when I saw her. She can't be that badass woman that she plays. The villains have no credibility and they are really stupid.
