2 wrongs don't make a right
phd_travel11 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
A young girl has some impulse control issues after a bump on the head. She meets a guy who has some issues too with temper control. But he is a psycho stalker type who wants to take the relationship further. She doesn't want it. So rather strangely he frames her for the murder of her bestie she had been quarrelling with. She can't remember because of meds. He holds it over her. Luckily she tells her Mom what's going on.

This movie is watchable enough. Though don't really get the premise of killing her friend and framing her to get closer.

better Lifetime
SnoopyStyle23 December 2018
High school cheerleader Brooke Emerson suffered a brain injury during practice a year earlier. She gets into a fight with her best friend Maddie Finley who accuses her of flirting with her boyfriend. She is rescued by charmer Jake Campali. She does not realized that he's an obsessive psychopath. She tries to break up with him but he continues stalking her. At a party, she gets into a fight with Maddie and tries to break up with Jake once more. Jake murders Maddie and frames Brooke for the crime. It doesn't help that she has no memories and she suspects her brain injury could lead to violent outbursts.

I kinda like Brooke not doing the right thing right away. A little less Jake would help raise the tension. It's scarier to have more mystery to the psychopath. I don't mind him but he overplays it at times. The plot could have ratcheted up the tension until the end but it goes overboard with the ring. After that point, the tension is lowered with the confession to the police. Nevertheless, this is a solid thriller and better than most of its Lifetime kind.

Not as bad as I thought. Great Canadian Thriller
rosswilcock19 July 2019
This was a very interesting film. It was very slow to pick up and very choppy editing at times but once the main plot of the story kicked off the film takes a surprisingly good turn. It's Canadian Thriller at its best for a low budget TV movie it's pretty fun. Nothing to right home about but it is one to look out for. I seen this on channel 5 on demons service (UK) and it really appealed to me.

I think it's a fun film with a lot going for it and for what it was it was fun. I did think the acting was very very cheesy and some actors were border line bad but still very enjoyable.

I would say give it a watch if your a murder mystery or thriller fan.

Dangerous Psychopath Rejection
NijazBaBs25 April 2019
If you are into topics of psychopathy, love, rejection, mental disorders, and of course this genres, this movie is for you. It shows reality, how just like in real life we have love problems, emotional problems, disappointments, weaknesses, diseases, and live with abusive people around us (in family, in school, in neighborhood). You will especially be motivated to watch this movie if you are experiencing the same thing as actors in this movie. Rejection, mental disorder, disappointment, falling in love, not understanding opposite sex, criminals. I gave one star less because I bit of colors are missing, it should not have happened all in dark and same place, there should be more light, colors, locations to make it more interesting and adventurous. There are many movies released recently talking about psychopaths, and they are all good, especially lifetime channel ones. This one is similar to that one released in 2016 I think where psychopath falls in love with girl and everything revolves around summer, swimming, sea, swimming pools...just can't remember name of that one (that guy was blonde too). Additional reason why I like this movie is that it revolves around good topics like supercars, money (being rich), school, girls, weapons, homicides, courage, and all extreme and modern stuff.

Intermittent Explosive Disorder
lavatch2 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Brooke Emerson and Jake Campali met on a unique common ground of experience: their explosive tempers. After bumping her head during a cheerleading drill, Brooke is now on regular medication from Dr. Fenson to keep her anger in check. Jake's problems stem from an abusive childhood. Unfortunately, Jake's case remains untreated which portends nothing but trouble for Brooke.

Jake will stop at nothing to control Brooke. During a party at the home of Riley Pratt, Jake murders Brooke's best friend, Maddie Finley, who had accused Brooke of leading on her beau Tryg Bailey. The diabolical Jake murders Maddie, leaving the appearance that she was killed by Brooke. In possession of bloody clothes and the murder weapon, Jake is now in the position to blackmail Brooke.

In this enormously far-fetched yarn, the actors turned in exemplary work in making the relationships credible. The actress playing Brooke conveyed the Kafkaesque feeling of helplessness in the face of Jake's unspeakable actions. A turning point in the film was when Brooke opened up to her caring mother and stepfather to tell them the truth. The parents instantly grasped Jake's culpability.

The filmmakers devised a clever denouement that resulted in both a fascinating twist and a symmetry with the narrative design. In the opening scene, Jake seemed unusually cruel to his mother who was asking him for money to assist his terminally ill father. But the closing scene was a shocker in the one-upmanship of the parents who outdid their son in evil. Their disgusting behavior at least provided a belated ounce of sympathy for Jake.
