Comedy short about 3 friends who go looking for a fighting chicken to make money. Using non actors, Owen Kline
shows promise in his direction and co-writig. Filmed in 3 days in various locations including Queens Chinatown, Brooklyn and New Jersey. The 3 characters mesh well, wth a standout performance by musician Juan Wauters as a drug dealer who helps the trio find their fighting chicken.
Mr. Kline, the son of 2 Hollywood actors, made this short while attending Pratt Institute in New York. All in all, Fowl Play is the best of his short films, and is worth a look. It can be found on Vimeo. 4 out 5 stars.
