Beautifully filmed and very informative.

Every episode is a mine of information about Scottish geology, history and mythology, as well as plenty of info about modern Scotland. The host is very good (as always), and interesting people, mostly Scottish natives, help to inform us about some of the places he visits. Would love to see an episode about the making of the series, showing how they travel and film in the more remote and inhospitable places. Brilliant all round for lovers of well made documentaries..

Antidote to exile

As an exiled Scot (living in the Home Counties) Paul's grand tours are a beautiful reminder of my homeland, an antidote to the flatness of pastoral England. The series is beautifully shot and the host offers a laconic informative narrative, the stunning lochs and landscapes do the rest.

Interesting BUT-???

Fascinating story. Many opinions, experts, for this on going mystery.

Here is my question: There are submarines that go thousands of kilometers deep and stay 6 months or more.

Why are we sinking around with a couple of open water divers at 100' with only 20 minutes allowed dive time?

My guess is Money: a submarine will cost money And the country, TV Chanel's, visitor support all bring in money. It would not be beneficial to make the truth, whatever that is, come to light. I cannot watch these piddling little attempts without asking why?

Beautiful Country

It's great seeing how great Scotland is but what's with all the English guests. Seems like everyone the BBC interviews is English or at least has a posh English accent.
