The return of the Huxley character, albeit briefly, proved to be the perfect thing to keep the Patient 6 story going. Referencing Brexit was also the perfect thing by the writers for an event that was known around the world, but not something that Jason would have known about being out of commission since 2012.
I hope they don't have Nelle truly be guilty. She doesn't deserve the hate she gets on the internet, but there are some detractors so I wouldn't be surprised if they go that route.
