How many times have we heard Luffy say "I will become the pirate King" but to say I can't be pirate King is a huge statement from Luffy. It shows how much he cares for his nakama.
Luffy was so happy to see sanji being ok but sanji realised the consequences of him being there and acted accordingly. Luffy fought cracker a yc for all night and cracker even mentioned the Prince (sanji) will say go home you lowly pirate and sanji said those exact words. It was heart wrenching. He didn't intend to hurt Luffy much so he advised Luffy to use haki but even after fighting all night with cracker and getting beaten by best of sanji's moves he didn't use haki and says why does he needs to when he is just there to take sanji back. Man Luffy is surely best anime character out there.
Although nami couldn't understand why sanji was beating Luffy but Luffy understood sanji was in much more pain for beating Luffy then Luffy himself. I know a lot of people hated sanji here but he is absolutely right in his place. His father (His true father zeff ) is held captive all the way in East blue. He knows no one can reach them to save them and even if anyone did he was running out of time and don't forget what big mom would do to him or his crew if anything went wrong. Sanji is always the rational and intelligent one in the crew. He knows his crew isn't ready to do face a yonko yet. So he did everything he could to send Luffy away. His brothers are immature kids who aren't even on sanji's level even with all the experiments and their suit who are laughing doesn't know sanji's true family the straw hats would go to what lengths to save him. I love the dynamic of the crew here nami slaps sanji for Luffy and still says sorry to sanji but Luffy condemned it, what a great writer Oda is. This was 10/10 in manga and 10/10 in anime also although pacing and animation could be improved in anime but I am ignoring these just because of amazing soundtracks and voice acting.
