- ANDRÈ (32) and his newfound girlfriend ELISA (35) are expecting their first child. Full of hope for the new life to come, they move to the countryside to get closer to Elisa's mother Martha (63). André wants to provide for his family, so he starts an ambitious microbrewery project. The future seems bright for the expectant family. But instead of bringing them closer together, the pregnancy comes down on the relationship like an avalanche as Elisa develops a psychosis. She starts to show sides of her that André has not seen before and disturbing secrets from the past are revealed. André finds himself entangled in a web of lies spun by Elisa and her overprotecting mother, making him doubt his own sanity and ultimately fight for his own and his unborn baby's life.—Director Ivan Elmer

- Throughout the process of making of this film, we have used alternative measures:
Elisa, Ida Cæcilie Rasmussen, was pregnant in real life and we took advantage of that by working with her and André's characters throughout 9 months where she changed mentally and physically. This brought an insight and authenticity to the situation and the characters. Ida was very much at peace with her physical and mental changes, opposed to the character she portrays. This gave her an overview, even though she had the situation so close at hand and we believe that this presence shows in the film. In fact, both actors' awareness about the psychological nuances of the rather complex plot are evident and visible in the story.
We finished this process by filming the scenes where Ida's final stages of pregnancy were evident in a very physical way. These scenes conclude the film. The transformation of the Elisa character is very important, as one of the key themes of the film is "knowing your partner". The more Elisa changes physically, the more André doubts her mentally. Also, the physicality and danger of having these scenes with Elisa 8 month pregnant and out of control, are important in terms of heightening the stakes in the film.
Furthermore, because we didn't have the money for high-end VFX work, and because the film had to take place during 9 month, we decided to shoot the film in different units; autumn, winter and spring, and thereby capture everything in the camera. The change in nature and weather plays a big role in André's microbrewery project, and his psychological development.
