More of the same!

To paraphrase Churchill: Never have so many talked so long about so little. With all the hype put out by the History Channel about this season. I was hoping we might actually see something happening this year. See some significant finds. Hear some concrete facts. But if the first few episodes are any indication it going to be more of the same. This is being written after seeing this episode and the one after. And the show continues to be one meeting after the other. Granted they are held in different locations. But observing meetings is usually very dull. And this is no different. And what makes most of these meeting more frustrating is they are not very informative. Very few new facts are ever discussed. Like all the stories that have been told over the years before and after the Readers Digest original story. This story is very LONG on speculation. And extremely short on facts of any kind. This kind of treasure hunting can obviously be incredibly interesting if something is found but four years of looking. Has only resulted in a few coins, buttons, spikes, and a lot of wood. And most of what we've seen is groups of people sitting or standing while they speculate about what might be buried somewhere on this island. Like everyone I want these guys to find something. But they should have started this series AFTER they started finding real artifacts of some kind of treasury. And not just cast-offs of day to day life in the 18th century. Not for anyone looking for gripping entertainment.
