- When one boy decides to play with his food instead of eating it, a new Thanksgiving tradition is started. A musical feast stuffed with a lot of soul and filled with a lot of heart. A boy, a turkey and the blues.
- For a young Coltan Jones, life growing up in Pheasantville is pretty simple. But like most little kids, Coltan has big dreams. Becoming a famous musician one day would be the coolest thing ever, but only if he could learn to play something other than the classics. Coltan longed for more be-bop or hip-hop instead of the pah-pa-rah or oompah of the school's marching band. When Coltan discovers a blues playing turkey named Willie sitting on a country fence, it takes just a few strums of the guitar for Coltan to change his tune. If Coltan can learn to play the cool blues, convince the Mayor to pardon Willie, help change the minds of the Pheasantvillians, start a new Thanksgiving tradition -- all while still making his mama proud, his life will be in sync. Coltan will become what he's always dreamed of being... more than just a great saxophonist...he will become a hero.—Samantha McEachin-Ifill
