Splitting Up Together had such promise but ran of steam early. It's bland and the characters are awkward and one dimensional. The storylines are cliched and unoriginal which is disappointing because given the subject matter, they could have added a little more bite and poignancy to the humor. Such a shame as this could have been a great show.
