The show portrays that worshipping Gurus and the statues of Gods and Goddesses, visiting shrines, and offering prayers, wealth and food items to the statues (for example: pouring liters of milk on Lord Shiv during Shivratri) is not true religion. Instead devoting the same time and resources for acts of kindness, helping the poor and caring for each other are much more important. The show showcases the gap between the beliefs and ideologies of the theist Gurumaa and the atheist Aastha, who believes in noble deeds and questions the religious traditions. The show has great characters and a beautiful story.
